Hey Oskar, that rebuild from Ron is $2,500, and even though I am sure that's eligible for free shipping...<doink>..OK I am awake. So, cross-country shipping for an engine can't be less expensive than gas up and down the Right Seacoast. Add in the extra benefit of not only meeting ScoutPilot and Zooke, AND telling people I acquired these parts from two true jeep legends AND Knights of the Jeep Round Table for MY wee jeep is an honour I'll not pass up.

I mean no disrespect. It is not going to be possible to go on this adventure with you. I will say, yes. I have spent time with Sir Eric, and Sir Pacholski. Time well spent. I will also tell you this. Engine blocks are getting harder and harder to find in usable condition. Go on your adventure. You will not be disappointed.

Weirdo, how do you know you can't go if even I don't know when I am going? If you know, let ME know. So you'll just hafta forgive me if I invite you without remembering you pre-know already that you can't go.

When we were at Ryan Whams, you presented the idea of a team road trip to Scouts. At least that is how I remember. I think we spoke of Eric's at a different time. I get it all jumbled up. Here's also a thought. Lee!!! Any running L134 engines? If you go back to the archives here. A complete rebuild with machine work and parts will cost $1500-$1700.00. That's if you have a good block. I sincerely am not being a smart ass. I really want to help.

See. Now if the Captain has none.. Well? I will reiterate. 7 blocks for two that were rebuildable. And I paid dearly for the machine work. Jump in guys ! Help the brother out. The L134 engine......

You aren't jumbled. I did talk about a road trip at The Whambler's to both Scout and Zooke, as both had presented possible transplants to me on this very thread. Now it's just a matter of coordinating a trip.

I will make a point here, "There are No cheap Jeep engines"
Few Good running used Jeep engines seem to last more than a season or two, they have been sitting for years, things are rusty, seals dried up, you start working this poor investment, and full circle happens in a short order. Do it right from the start, plan on at least a $3500 price, if cheaper when done that's a plus. Bin there, done that and done being dissapointed, bite the bullet. Actually if you can come up with a core, the RFJP engine is not a bad deal!.

I will have to call Ron -I don't know what constitutes a "core". I have one block with a couple small cracks, and another with one major crack. As much as I want to learn how to do this, after the Ayers Circle Parade I want my jeep back on the road. Maybe it was the constant ribbing, maybe it was the BRAND NEW GRASS in our front yard that I didn't know about, but I want her back.
