while they swam afterwards. Soooo, you got one of them there cement ponds out back ?. When we bought the house, we all originally thought it was a murky frog pond. Turns out it was a pool. Converted it to salt water these days.

Engine is in and running like new. I ran out of steam, so the grill install and test run will be done tomorrow. This coming shake down will be the test for the rear main seal.
I am one happy camper.

Catching a buzz and wondering why the interweb is so dead lately. Can't post while hands are covered in engine filth... I don't know what everyone else has for an excuse. Tim

Installing a GPW radiator today, built a black water reciever hitch tank carrier for the Oilleaker Inn, added 45 gallons of holding, selling off one of my BSA motorcycles, attending the grandson's Motocross race in Sturgis, making plans for The Dillon Mt. IMVPA meet , and trying to sarcastically insult all my friends here! Oil

Slipped on the grille then took ODie for a break in cruise last night.
Result...
Smooth as butter and more high speed power. Felt great.
One hiccup...and it's a very angering hiccup.
Brand new throw out bearing squawks and squeals. Brand New!
How do you like those apples?!!!

Crap, too bad the engine or transmission doesn't leak and lube up that throw out bearing. Fix a leak and stop automatic oilling. Sucks.

I would think you could remove the access plate and with a flex oilling spout, oil it. It shouldn't get into the pressure plate or clutch disk. I've been here too and every time I put one in, I handpack it like a wheel bearing with grease. It's surprising how much it will accept. Oilly

Well, since it's been quiet on the Willys networks, I've decided to post the start of a mini-project. I am trying to decide if I should bring my 1946 CJ2A to the FCT this year. Even though I have ODie dialed in, it might be fun to use this one instead. I wouldn't worry, or care, if it got dinged up a bit. It runs, and has brand new brakes. What it doesn't have is a windshield or good tires. I could leave the M38 shield in place and just remove the arctic top. I could borrow the wheels and tires from Whitey. But this just isn't how I roll. I'm going to try and fix up one of these shields. They are all crap, but I may be able to put one decent windshield together by using all three. I intend on using the 15" wheels for this rig that I got from Lee. Maybe get some rubber coming, sandblast and paint the wheels. All with just a month to go before the FCT. This may be a tall order. It's a very busy time at work. I guess we shall see. Tim

I'd let the weather forcast help you decide what to bring. You might want all the top. You got to have a selection of Jeeps. The right Jeep for each application. You need a no top one, a easy on/off canvas one, and a hardtop with 2 heaters in it. Don't forget to carry a extra wiper blade to clear the windows inside and a pair of ear plugs for the noise on the last one. I always love seeing the before shots of what people have dragged home. They obviously had a weak moment, or see potential, or already have the rest of it needed behind their shop. Look forward to seeing you guys as always, Oil
