Outstanding day in the hills!. First of all, our trail boss was lost most of the day. . , trust me, that's not a bad thing. . As we seen some beautiful country with many water crossings. . He is now known as "Lost Leaker" . We also had some Supersonic and lots of BS'ing Here is Grumpy next to his trouble free 3B A creek crossing, many of those! 15 Jeeps on the trail today Lee

Jpet....I just watched the videos. 2015 Black Hills 1...I LOVED IT! Right from the start I noticed I was smiling while watching it. I'm still grinning ear to ear as I type. Thanks!

You guys are having a great time! Great posts and pictures! Thanks JPet for sharing the videos. The Captains crossing indeed. When I saw Sir Hawks Jeep... I got a little upset... I should have been there. There is always a reason, I believe that! It doesn't make me feel any better. You fellas have put up with my BS for a long time. I feel perhaps that you know my heart about these ole Jeeps is true! Keep sharing, it eases the pain....

Here are some images from day 0, 1, and 2. The special events back at camp Oilleaker are amazing. Duece and a half ride up crook mountain. Those kids with the 12" stacks sticking out of the box of their pickups? OilLeaker's rig is the sound they are trying to emulate. Having a great time. My bucket LOVES running down here at < 4000' elevation. Everything is working just fine. The carb doesn't boil out when I stop here. The gasoline lacks ethanol. Trips to the trailhead and back are usually longer than my trips in the Jeep at home. I didn't check to see how far we went today. long steep descents today. water "crossings" with Lee. Looking forward to tomorrow's trail ride!

Day two was amazing. We drove from Sturgis to Boulder Canyon and then up to the Lost gulch turnoff. From there it was real Jeeping. Creeks, rocks, hills, washouts, old cabins that burned down in a forest fire, and one heck of a hill which dropped us into the old silver/lead mining town of Galena. It was there that Jpet and Lee were tramatised by a creek ford that was headlight deep if you found "the Hole". They want to go back tomorrow for a attempt to drown their Jeeps. Just can't get enough. The rest of us will watch. We are going up Bulldog Jeep trail to Veterans Peak. Another good one. We also were amazed at more of our members showing up today. Binthere from Canada made a surprise appearance with his beautiful Willys Overland Jeepster. They are trailing with us tomorrow , but not in the Jeepster. Too nice to get dirty! Today, we had 20 Jeeps!!!!!!!!!!!!! A new record. This is a great bunch of people. Good attitude, and are game for Jeeping----------Holy Cow! I'll let the knights that are here, tell you the rest of the story. They got lost, but I saved them. Lee is greatfull! Never before has he had such a great guide! signed the Leak Master!

Thanks for the detour from "real life", y'all. Looks like you're all having an amazing time - TWENTY Jeeps! WOW. And NOW I finally know what HBR means thanks to that documentary. Jpet, the "receiving line" was a great idea - it gave us FNG's the names to faces and their jeeps.
Keep living the dream for us! LOL

Actually there were 22 Jeeps, a local gentleman showed up with a very nice early wagon, and Binthere's Jeepster, but the wagon just joined the group for a short while, and the Jeeepster was not trail proven, LOL. Sir Moooosey, what size t shirt fits you! Haines we drove through Deadwood, looks very different than Hollywood portrays it!, LOL

This is not the deepest water crossing we made but I can't film everything. You just have to be here.

Jpet....I know what you mean about the photographing the landscape. Something as gorgeous as that will never look good in a photograph. I'm always guilty of trying to get too much in to the point that you can't see anything! I love seeing the jeep pics and the smiling faces that are driving them. Thank you! Hey...any mechanical issues for anyone? Anyone needing towed out of the stream crossings? Those were some great videos!
