No tow ropes have been used, that I have seen!. A few minor problems, nothing that could not be done on the trail, I myself had to crack out a screwdriver this evening, as my throttle cable slid back in the clamp and it idled at 1k rpm, that's not a big deal!. . Now, I for the most part have been around Jeeps my entire life, I have done many things in a Jeep, granted at home we have nothing to offer like here or Colorado, and last falls trip over Tin Cup Pass was my all time favorite. Tin Cup was many miles of 1st gear low range and extremely rocky, I had one rock roll under my skid plate there with a stock 2A. Today I experienced the most fun I have ever had in a Jeep!, my skid plate was tested twice, as well as the engine skid plate, not hard hits, just bumps in soft red gooey clay type soil, with a medium to hi pucker factor, this was down a steep and extremely rutted trail. On a one to ten this was a twelve!. You could not find a better bunch to have fun with. .

Ok the record must be set straight. None of you guys are too small or insignificant. I wish that all you friends of mine could have just switched off money and life's problems and brought your Jeep out for a week of nothing but Jeep , trails, and fun. I really do wish you were here. As for those of us here, well, we are playing in the Black Hills's sandbox. What a great bunch. They are an inspiration to me. They show me how decent and pleasant Jeep people really are. I'm the one who is having a great time. It's a honor. Oilly

Actually there were 22 Jeeps, a local gentleman showed up with a very nice early wagon, and Binthere's Jeepster, but the wagon just joined the group for a short while, and the Jeeepster was not trail proven, LOL. Sir Moooosey, what size t shirt fits you! Haines we drove through Deadwood, looks very different than Hollywood portrays it!, LOL MEDIUM. Jpet....I know what you mean about the photographing the landscape. Something as gorgeous as that will never look good in a photograph. I'm always guilty of trying to get too much in to the point that you can't see anything! I love seeing the jeep pics and the smiling faces that are driving them. Thank you! Hey...any mechanical issues for anyone? Anyone needing towed out of the stream crossings? Those were some great videos! Medium! .................. Your shitting me!,,,, right!. I do not think I know an adult male that wears a "Medium"................. Funny!

THAT IS BECAUSE I DO NOT SIT AROUND POUNDING HBRs AND EATING 12 POUNDS OF GOPHER JERKY A DAY! lol I work outdoors in 102 degree sweltering heat doing manly things (like teach golf lessons) all day long. I'm a 40 year old flat belly. And I treat my body like a temple. I am a professional athlete, you know. hahahahahaha

In the spirit of sharing the South Dakota 'Solidarnosc', I went to pick up my oldest at his friends then took a few laps of the neighbourhood - 25 miles or so. Alas, no trails, but there is a slight rise in one area. I reckon about 25 feet above sea level - not bad for the Carolina Lowcountry, after all. Got home to a lovely flanksteak dinner with a side of bad news - AC is out, out of warranty and OUTTA HERE. Ryan, sure would be a good time to pick me some winning Lotto numbers. LOL! Jeep work on hiatus. Great pics guys - great fun. Thanks guys for sharing! P.S. Will polish brass nuts for AC money.

Well day 4 of 5 was a wet one. Decided to stay more to hard surfaces. The rain literally had runoff coming down the roads. Found out my 1952 A1 top is cheese cloth, not canvas. So, we made it a water day and viewed 4 great water falls in Spearfish Canyon and Annie Creek. Supposed to be perfect for our last day tomorrow of touring. Many are headed home on Saturday for work and other duties. We sure missed not having all you guys here, but it can't always be possible with life's requirements. The more we do this tour, the better we get. We are already adapting in our radio chat, and parking techniques when we arrive at a stop. After each transmission, Hawky wanted to know who this Roger guy was. I can see the grin on his face! Some guys didn't have a top, so they tied a tarp on and went anyway. What a bunch of genius Jeep people. We'll get up on top of the world tomorrow and reflect on just where we are. Oilly

And I will tell you, gopher meat is very lean and healthy, as well as the old world spices in the jerky only enhance that!. So mooooooosey if I find your tee shirt, and it fits you tighter than Jack Lelaines jump suit, you will have to live with it!
