Hahahaha, Lee. Just don't get goofy and grab a toddler size! Err on a large, if you must. I'll start pounding cookies today. No lessons scheduled. Hey guys...I'm not even there and I'm sad this event is ending. I can't imagine the bittersweet emotions of the last Dude Ranch Ride scheduled for this year's event. I know everyone will be lost in thought reliving the fantastic memories made over the last week. Oilly, thank you for all of the work you've done to make this happen. You definitely deserve the 2015 Haines Garage Power Take Off Award for fostering and promoting camaraderie while motoring along in in 4WD, 3rd gear, low! Schiller, do something for a change and make this happen. By the way, who had the quietest fan?

Quietest fan? That competition was actually a fullfilling end to my question. Terry from Colo. had a stock fan set up that actually hurt my ears. He had put on a new water pump with a heavier cast, thick pulley. I do indeed think the belt riding higher in the groove spun his fan faster. The rest (stock) were very close in noise. It also depended on just how high the owner was willing to rev it up. The eletric fan boys were the quietest. I'd say bam Bam was that winner. Bamm Bamm is so well done, he surpasses in all areas, and matches the fuel mileage or beats it. Bam Bam can run 70 MPH, and still crawl on the trails with the oldies. I like him. Moosey, the week has been epic. Believe it or not, there are just so many trails to run. We have covered the best in the area. A few more exist, but then you end up in rock crawler fee trails, or tourist beaten roads which are not pristine and not as "fresh". There's nothing like taking a break for linch in the forest, and all you hear is the forest and the residents. A soothing peaceful place. Once you get back to the pavement, you want to turn around and go back. In 4 days of trailing, not one of this group has whined. I'm proud of them. Try that with Corvettes, or Mustang club runs. OK, it's time for a weather check and prep. for Flag Mountain and I want Chuckie to sit on the liars bench at Moonshine Gulch Saloon. He hauled his '49 Jeepster all the way down from BC Canada Eh! Will put it in tomorrows car show. I'm putting my '45 MB in w/1919A4 mounted. That way I can keep people from touching Chuckies nice paint. Gary! I see you called bud. Sorry I didn't hear my phone. It's going to take about 3 days just to clean up my rigs. It was worth it! Oilly

Great day in the black hills yesterday. This crew really has it together. The rain added the theme of the day, "waterfalls."
Quote of the day from Kate:
"We're like NASCAR...in slow motion."

I'm now getting a feeling of sadness. I had to lead, plan, and execute a full 5 day schedule of Jeeping. What was cool was unplanned events took place that were very special. It drew the group together in a way that bonded us. I never thought that would have happened. I've belonged to other car clubs, gone to shows, and participated in tours, but taking this bunch to places I frequented during my lifetime was more special than anything I've ever done before. The reaction, and looks on their faces, was all the reward I need. I frequent multiple Jeep pages on the internet, and I had friends from all show up this year. We discussed this. What was said that I want Scott to know was, we come here to let our hair down and in a friendly way insult and kid each other, knowing that it's strictly for fun and that we respect each other. You can't get away with this else where. From here: Grumpy,Oilly, Lee, Hawky,Jpet, RudyCon,Binthere, and Split. Connecting the names with not only faces, but personalities and kindness was ---------WOW! Thanks for sharing time with me fellows! Oil

I really enjoyed this. Close as I could get to being there. Maybe some day I can get out there. Would be nice to get close to my old stomping grounds again. I did enjoy my trips up to the Black Hills when I lived in Wyoming. Would be great to see them again.

That "warriors circle" photo sums it up nicely. I'm glad that you all got to meet in SD, and appreciate all the time you took away from the fun to post all the photos and videos, with special thanks to Jpet and Lee for their commentary and dedication to the cause. Oilly's place looks awesome - thanks again for sharing.

Home safe for a few hours now.
Packing up this morning, it felt like the last day of summer camp. Saying goodbye to new friends and a feeling of, "I'll see you next year!"

That was just pure fun. Next year is already on my mind. A new idea for concentrating the group is in the making. Also, new trails. No repeats. Stay tuned. Oilly
