If they trued up the communtator in a armature lathe, they didn't undercut the mica neither....but I've been told some shops don't do that anymore.... I think the only thing what happened is a blow out with an air gun, and a sorry attempt at replaced brushes. Hopefully I will hear tomorrow.

Ive refrained from commenting before because it's hard to judge by pictures and such, and I didn't want to jump to conclusions..... But if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck.. It's a duck so to speak... And it's not like it's the first time... I'm going to throw this out there, sorry if some of you disagree....... Seeing how alot Flatfender community is closer nit than most... I would think that IF, IF, someone out in the community is knowingly defrauding people, that person would surely understand that word will get around...... Most of the men and women I've met in this little hobby are of the old school mentality, a persons integrity is worth more than dollars and a mans word is golden..... Heaven help the one that would think of betraying that philosophy...

My perspective. A man's word is his bond. A handshake is a contract, whether it's to be friends or business associates. Some folks enter into "arrangements" with a cynical outlook. Not trusting others to do the right thing is a poor starting point in any relationship. It can lead, and often does, to a "get it while you can and to hell with the consequences" mentality. As Scott and I have discussed, some people don't realize they're burning bridges behind them until they find themselves stranded and alone.

Bad news travels much faster than good. The old rule treat others as you would be treated is a good standard. Then if they slap you while down after you tried, well, it won't be a good ending in my court. Oil

Verdict is in!!! Armature need to be replaced. The communtator is wire out, and has a bad band. Rebuild?! Never happened .

When I get the starter rebuilt properly, I am not only going to send a bill to the culprit, I am also going to ask for a refund on what he charged me to have the work done. Some hokey story about an old guy that was the know all guru. Its all bullshit! Heres the cool thing. The web works in your favor with its history. All of what I am telling is honest. It is documented on another site. I actually thanked the person to be unnamed, that's for you Scout! All this bullshit about saying someone's name on the computer. Slander suit. If the laws of this country protect people who deliberately sell garbage, deceive good hearted enthusiast and lie...Well I guess I will take the suit. As I say...Its all documented in messages , posts on forums etc. I will give the person the benefit of making it right monetarily. Hey I know Lawyers too. Good ones. You can sue anybody for anything in this country... Always looking on the bright side of things.. This person really has given me an education. I have learned more from the bullshit he gave me, and the crap he sold me than I could have ever learned otherwise. We shall see how it all ends, Want to see some of what I am talking about?

I got the news today that my starter man can't locate an armature. I freak! Call all the too suppliers. No dice. I post on Facey book. Call Ryan and the Moose. Part# for armature is MZ-2089 Eric has one and is sending it to me. Ain't that some Awesome Stuff!! I am sure Ryan would have had one as well.
The Moose most helpful, but I really just called him to bitch about it!!
Thanks my friends !! You are THE BEST!!!

I just got home to check the stash but looks like The Zookester has you covered. Good deal. Gotta love having a solid network of packrat parts hoarders on your speed dial list

I'd be willing to bet Dakota Battery in Rapid city could order you a new one from their suppliers. That place can fix anything electrical. Oil

I have 3 but I am not on the list so heck with you That is very funny! Put an Avitar . I think it should be ECWA! I appreciate the help. Honestly I do. At this point it is a matter of principle and me putting that starter back right. I will not be beaten . Most important.

Well HG, everything I have checked so far on many sites say they use sandpaper. Don't know where I read it but I guess maybe I was wrong. Hard to believe isn't it?
