I'm at work, so not a lot of time, but WOW. Like JPet says, if you can only make 1 flat fender event a year, this is the one to make. The hospitality of M38mike's family, and the Jeepers that took me in under their wings to show me around and even have me over for dinner is a sure sign of the quality of people involved in the flat fender community. Not only were jeep stories shared, but knowledge, skills, and even Lee's Jerky were freely shared with all. I had a great time. I learned to worry less and enjoy more. How many people have a chance to catch a falling aspen leaf right out of the sky while driving along through a shower of golden leaves? I will not forget that. I am SO glad I busted it night after night to be as prepared as I was. It was JUST ENOUGH for me to have a good time. Yeah, there are still 1000 things "wrong" on the studebillys, but overall the little scamp was good enough for me. Lee's jeep is so "tight" compared to the worn out, loosey goosey everything on my rig. Really sets the bar for mechanical expectations I can have for a willys. Oilleaker's paint shone in direct contrast to my distinct lack of paint! Man these haines garage outlaws are really my kinda folks. Someone asked how I found Haines Garage. I don't really remember. I do know that I knew it was the right bunch for me right from the start. Thanks to everyone.

I know the feeling Rudycon, last year I was there in my rattle trap of a Willis, then somebody drives by in a nice shiny restored one......with not even so much as a valve tick, lol!
But as far as I'm concerned, there is no better group of guys and girls to be around!!! Glad you had a good time!

Rudy, save the middle week of June next summer on your schedule. You can come up to the Black Hills and meet Hullet, my '48 2A. He has less paint than yours and is my buddy. I like your jeep just as it is. Crap it was at 9400 feet and made it up on it's own on Princeton! Don't sell him short. Give him praise so he won't be mad and feel hurt! Enjoyed all you Knights! I can't say enough on how fun it is to Jeep with you guys! Oilly

The night ride fissled. Mike's Blue Mule was not running right and GW had fuel issues, so we called it off. Uncle Linden's cow horn was a sign to mount up, and he talked to all cattle we saw. Then we heard the Model A horn to say hello to tourists ahoooga!, and the wolf whissle wasn't working right. The cow horn was impeckable though. Oh the stock horn too. That is one horny jeep Bruce W has! Holy Cow! Oil
