I would like to attend. I am trying to recover my lost password on the CJ2aPage so I can check in. Frankly, I'm not exactly sure where I need to be. I reckon I can follow the gear oil drips and catch to you guys.
There are so many questions you experienced owners can help me with. I would also really like to meet the folks behind the keyboards.
I am working on the "top 5" things I need on the Willys to have a safe and fun trail ride with a minimum of hood-up time. don't get me wrong, I love turning wrenches, but some of that joy is diminished while you are laying in a mud puddle under your rig on a trail.
I would like to offer up our home in Conifer, CO for weary travelers who can't make that last 60 miles to Buena Vista. Conifer is also about where machinery making the big climb up from Denver tends to give up/overheat. I might be able to provide some roadside assistance to travelers.
Speaking of assistance. I can't make the entire event. This might work out as a good thing for some folks. I might be able to schlep parts up from Denver when I do make it out on Thursday/Friday.
I plan on flat towing with the JKUR in front of the Willys. The JK makes for an agile off-pavement recovery rig too if anyone needs help getting off the trail.

Rudy, I would like to meet you and your Jeep. The location of Mike's place is: 20123 Hideout Lane, Nathrop Co. 81236. Do a Mapquest or Google Earth and you will find home base. Mike is one of the best! I look forward to it. John

I'MM in. I have been prepping, gathering spare parts. Remember Murphy's Law, if you have spare parts you wont need it! . I have installed new plugs and wires in my Dodge and it is ready to go. My 2A is running like Oilleaker with a bag of Supersonic, I do have a few things to do to it before we go but the list is short . Trailer needs a new jack installed and one brake checked out. Diana is going with, not much of an off roader but there are other things to do there if she does not like it. All good . Lee

For those of you who have not been to the FCT, you are in for the ride of your life. You have never seen such beautiful places, smiling faces, and oil traces .... That's for you General. M38 Mike and his Family are the best hosts, and Mike is the best trail leader you could ask for.
Next to getting. Married to my Wife, and the Birth of my Daughter and Son ... Has to be some of the Best days of my life attending last year.
Be sure to make a date with Sir Tim Hawkridge to dine at Woodys! He and Rachel are Fantastic People!!
Give them a hug for me!
Hang out with Bruce W, and if you can , go for a ride with him. He is 'the Stuff" trust me !
Go on the night ride with JPet. He never uses the brake lights.
Wish I could be there.

Wish I could be there too!
Maybe next year.....
Believe me, I'd rather drive the 13 hours to B.V. than to drive the 60 miles to the DFW metro mess...
On another note,
We need to get M38Mike over here, I'll bet he'll be a barrel load of fun!!

You all know I'll be there. Rachel and I really enjoyed having HG with us last year. I'm guessing he's kicking himself for not waiting until this year to come. Being that many Knights are planning to attend this year.
I am hoping to stretch it to one more day on the trails for 2014. I usually do Thursday, Friday, Saturday. It's hard to be away from work for much longer, but I'm hopeful that I can add Wednesday this year. My wife Rachel will join us Friday morning.

The Good Lord willin' and the crick don't rise, you know I'll be there! Seems like where I live there's only two seasons any more, Fall Colors Tour and the other 51weeks. The Fathers Day Black Hills Tour was a great time though, and the Northern Colorado Mountain Run was a good time too. I'd do more if I could. Rudy, when I get to your place, I'm two/thirds of the way there, Ol' Spot and I are in a zone, and can't stop. You're right, that second third is, I think, the hardest part of the trip. The hill I hate the most, though, is Crow Hill, and it's downhill. Scares the XXX out of me. I'm anxious to see some old friends again, and meet some new ones, most of who I feel I know but wouldn't recognize. Less than a month now!
BOOGITY!! BOOGITY!! BOOGITY!! LETS GO JEEPIN!!! BW

Today the 2A got a little closed to ready. A long time PIA hood hinge was tightened up, and a cup holder installed. I also picked up a portable CB at Fleet Farm, hopefully it will work ok. I will make hotel reservations tomorrow. Jeep is running very well and I will change oil before we go. I have a shackle bushing that does not like grease and I will correct that tomorrow. I have also started my spare parts pile ..............also need to make some jerky . Lee

I'm getting pretty excited for the FCT.
I too have been prepping ODie for the trip. I've never broken down, so I'm hopeful the changes I've made don't put a voodoo curse on me. Adjusted valves, new fuel pump, cleaned carburetor, replaced points and condenser. Still on my list...new brake pads, oil change, grease chassis and put my spare parts kit back together.
We booked the Super 8 in Salida. It's just about the only place in the area that remains dog friendly. We will have Sherman and Blue Belle with us again this year.

I will bet you are!!!
Need to all be extra nice to Sir Tim Hawkridge. That means no monkey business Captain. And General!
Seriously be extra good to him. He is a great guy and good friend of mine .
Wish I could be going this year! I am Jelli-ness!
FCT is Fantastic!
Also while I am thinking about it Con JPet into doing a KRJT photo or better yet video. !!!

Yeppers. Fall is fast upon us. There was a slight chill in the air this morning as GW and I headed to church. I just love sweatshirt weather. Reminds me of a morning. On the TDR ..... except no mountains This will be my 5th year on the FCT. I pretty well check the General out, year round so nothing to do there. No matter how good they run on flat land, you can't know how they will do in high altitude. My spare tire may be a little loose. We will find out . ..... no doubt, I will move there someday <sigh>

I would vote that Jpet makes a permanent move to the Big-C. I'm sure you've heard this a million times, but your enthusiasm for the Willys is contagious. I like that.

Joe Dirt has more hair on his chest than I do on my head! , very funny LMAO. Just loaded a big batch of Supersonic in the dehydrator . I will start packing spare parts today. I also have a super secret "Hi Altitude" W-O Carter to test at FCT. Lee
