Ok this one uploaded it's the crossing at Crazy Woman Creek. On the road to the rig, luckily the waters not high. Ok so what's the secret to adding the attachment? When I try to add attachment I get a message my file is too small. (Never heard that before)

Hey Gary, since you said that, I'm going to face East SE and tip a cold one up as a reciever. We'll salute you. Lee and Tim will assist me. All you would need to do is quit your job, get a divorce, rob the bank and you could be here. It would be good to meet you though. I don't care if the weather is bad, I'm at least going to work on a Jeep in the shop there. Oilly

IMO, a soft enclosure is better than a hard cab since you can add and remove it easier on the trail.

All tops on a Willys are just in the way, until you have to drive in 30 degrees with wind, rain, snow or even colder temperatures. That's when I like them. The hardtop is superior to canvas when it comes to cold , bad weather. The canvas is very versatile. You can take the doors off first, and then open the back, and then roll up the sides, or easily remove it. I'm hoping for better weather so I can just take it off. I'm hedging the bet and bringing canvas! There's being a wimp and using your top, and then there is just plain stupid. That's called exposure to the elements. I like exposure --------sometimes Oh, you can haul the canvas top with you, but the doors are a pain banging around in back. What are you guys bringing? I know General Willys has a full canvas top. Lee? Tim? Rudy has his home brew top. Wyowillys has a full canvas top. Not sure about you other guys since I've never seen your Jeeps with a top. Oil

I carry everything with me except the doors. If the weather looks like it's going to be bad, I'll throw the doors on board, but as the Leaker states, they are a bit cumbersome. Tim

Last year, I just left my vinyl best top on....with the doors in the back of the Red Chebbie truck, Hindsight....I forgot that my wife is a lot less tolerant of weather than me. Once she was cold and wet, she became miserable.
I usually wedge the doors in between the roll bar and the top bows, when not in use. That keeps them out of the way, they rattle a lot though.

No, not a Jpet top. I don't think he has ventured into the M38 style. This is a Surplus City Jeep Parts top.

Tim, disgusting! Thow some dirt on it or something. Lee, letting the girls go to town will end your jeep kitty for a while. The thought of you riding with me got me thinking of two custom drink holders that level themselves. A liquid tilt-a-meter! What do you think of that idea? I'm trying to be patient and not get too excited. I'd hate for anyone or anything to get in the way of going to this event. GREAT ANTICIPATION here. I'll have my back seat along in case we need to "help" a Jeep Buddy in distress. We might need a support adviser in the back to act as server or something. I've got all week to get ready, but I could leave in the morning in about 15 minutes-------LOL. Oil

Truthfully, IMO, if you have a bikini top, you can get by. Last year, the day we had the heavy rain, all I had was a summer top. ..... but sometimes your passengers feel differently. .. Maybe some side curtains. Yes, the doors can be cumbersome. That's why I made the roll-up doors. I really don't need a full enclosure until it gets cold. Just bundle up.
I don't make military tops because, they are readily available from several vendors at a reasonable price. Since I have friends who make military tops, I prefer not to compete with them. They have more experience than me anyway. I will occasionally do a military top in trade if someone has something I need. Accurate civilian tops with steel frame windows, are not available. That's why I prefer to do them..... or something custom.

Lee, we need to chain up and have some fun. Sitting on a ice cliff at 12000 feet with only your chains saving you is where it's at! We'll need some Glenn Levitts Scotch to keep warm of course, and remember, no cops will be there. They aren't stupid enough. Oil

LOL, I'mm not familiar with your "Hi Steppin Brands" of booze. A simple Canadian Club or Seagram's Gold works well for me. Remember "Rye" not "Corn". Wine, Mogan David screw top is hard to beat! . Lee

Suppose to be back into the 80s this weekend. Extended forecast predicts excellent weather for the FCT. Just remember, it's just a prediction.
