Flash! Hats are here. They aren't too bad. I'll put one on and get pictures to one of you posters. Cost will be mine, 10 bucks each. If you need it shipped, then I'll have to see what would work the best package wise and cost wise. I'd rather you just come get it! Oil

Thanks Moosey! My 1919 Camera is so old, I have to remove the batteries and then reset the stupid date every time I use it. So, no I haven't planned this event since those dates. Be nice or Wyat will take Doc down to the OK Corral and turn him into a target! I just wanted you fellows to see the hat. Oil

Today, I made the trophy that will be the prize for the loudest Willys jeep fan noise. We will scientifically moniter your jeep's fan noise at the same bumper location in the front of the radiator on each jeep. He who is the loudest wins. It's dated and ID'd as to what it's for. I'll bet you can't guess what it is! You can hang it up in your garage, trophy room, or man cave. What I though today was which day would be the best to do it. Obvoiusly the day the most people are here. So, If you are reading this, what days do you plan on being here with your Jeep? Oilly

Hint: it has SC on it and a part number. It's even OD green. No Shouting or extra noise. Only the whir of the fan is allowed. No honking horns either. Oil

Mission was a success! The road follows a creek in a fairly deep canyon and Castle Peak is a vertical rock wall of a mountain. It compared to mount Princeton, well, it's just a chip off of that. Still a very nice drive and it passes a old CJ2A sitting sadly in the weeds with a snow plow on it. It also is very near the Moonshine Gulch Saloon. My mouth is watering again. I had a nice drive, stopped at Boyd's Antiques and got a Pyrene fire extinguisher for 15 bucks to put in Bugsey! Almost got home and got a call from Texas. My friend Gary! We made plans for the FCT. Things are looking good! Oilly

Which Jeep? Not Bugsey, he is waiting for a new fuel tank to arrive, I gave up on the home made POS tank. I actually drove my 2000 Wrangler. Hey it was 48 degrees all day, I needed comfort. The recent 8 inches of snow was running off like crazy. Water World. Oilly

Well, I have to come clean, I have two 2000 Jeep TJ wrangler 2.5 4 cylinder 5 speeds. His and Hers. We don't do Cadillacs at my place. So, yes Gary I left those two out. I've been a bad boy. Can't help it, I always tried to keep a full toy box and put them away after playing you know! Today I brought Tuffy out of hibernation. Time to get next seasons firewood. Tuffy is my go to machine. If you hang a 22 inch wide pine, you winch it down. Awesome. He's still painted original and hides well in the woods. Hawkridge would bite his chain if he saw Tuffy. He actually will in about 4 weeks. Oilly

We'll have some challenging washouts to pick our way through. The rain has been awesome here for the last 2 weeks. It rained steady for 24 hours. So much for cutting firewood. Back to the shop for now. Oilly

Update: I have one more trail to check out, and then it's game time. Plan on having your Jeep full of gas and lunch packed for launch at 9 AM each day. For those that have not been here, we will do Bulldog Trail and the old 50's closed highway again. This will be a great week of seeing the real Black Hills. You'll soon figure out why Custer and his men didn't want to leave and head back to Bismark ND in 1874. I'll have two portapotties, sink, water, and plenty of garage/shop talk for your entertainment in the evening. I'll carry a chainsaw to get rid of any unexpected downfall. We have permission to cross private land to shortcut over Crook Mtn. to Boulder canyon. Fan competition, Deuce Ride, trail riding, Fri PM dinner at Bullwacker's, Sat free car show, Sat. PM potluck, Holy Cow you guys are lucky. I might even show you a old Forest Service weir! All my old hangouts and Jeep fun. I actually have about 9 jaunts I can take you on in the 5 days of trails, so we'll see how it pans out. The Black Hills are small, and we'll be driving anything from pavement to rocks and rutts. I'm not sure I can wait 3 more weeks, I may just leave without you-----------LOL, Oilly

Chuckie, we like that place, but DWI's are not fun, unless my wife wants to drive the Deuce to haul everyone. Now that would be what's called-------------A Deuce of a party.
