Flatties at Custer peak fire watch tower Some of the Knights steeds back at camp after a long day of campaigning. Here is the old time version of an online forum like this. Friends circled up conversing. Any number of concurrent topics. Stories and good natured teasing...

Mt. Jeepmore! Many thanks to all that participated in this project, and to Scoutpilot for taking charge of the artwork on this side of the pond..... Roberto, your work is amazing!, many thanks to you as well!.. Those of us who are able to take part in the Black Hills Jeep Run have had a very special week, with a group of the best people!...... Hopefully the video and photos myself and others have posted here give you the members and guests a look at what we are able to expierience here, minus the natural smell of the pine's, and the view through your own eyes of gods creation!..... None of this is possible without the hard work and commitment of Carol, John and Bob. Many, many thanks. Lee.

Special times with special people. I was amazed and honored by the artwork and gift presented to us from the Knights and Jeep friends. Muley's handiwork on the frame, and how you guys hid this from me. Never once did I sense this was going on. I can't thank you enough. Sharing Jeeps, mechanical tips, and just good times with you all has been, and continues to be, very special. Spending all day in the heat and sun really takes it out of you. The experience we get together is well worth the effort. All the videos and photos posted help share what we are doing with those who could not make the trip. Thanks to all of you! John PS, I crawled up a extension ladder after Carol my wife said "Hey if you turn the Morton sign over, it would be a W". I did. So we sat and enjoyed each others company under the "Willys" sign.

Bruce W., and Stan Fuller were our last remaining guests today, so we went and did some more technical trails with less room and larger rocks. Most folks would not have tried them. You have a mix of abilities in a larger get together and one needs to provide fun for all without leading your guests into a disaster. These guys I knew had done some tougher than average trails and wanted a challenge. We found it. Pretty cool. I had a ball playing with all of you friends during the week. It's now quiet as a mouse. Just the memories are still ringing. What a great bunch. I'm honored to have such good friends. Oilly

I'm home, 640 miles from Whitewood, 11 hours on the road.. Several historical stops and a yard sale! I did come home to a mess, we had a storm this afternoon and lost a couple trees, one in the yard and a couple on the driveway (they were dead), and a hayfield for a yard, LOL , Alli is good, a week of great fun and wonderful memories. I have a few more photos and video to post in the next couple days.

I am home safe and unpacked.
Stopped somewhere in Nebraska on 71 to change a flat tire for a lady on the side reading the owners manual.
500 miles or so.
Oh yeah, the stude-a-Willys started right up to back into the shed. Can't explain my hard starts at the hotel yet.
Glad the 4 die-hards got to squeeze in one more challenging run.
Thanks all around. Safe travels to those still on the road.
Mike: Hope your repairs go better'n expected. Happy to zip down to 285 if you need something or stop by if you need a break.

Steven Rudy is always at the ready to come to your aid. Back at you! As tourmaster it is a challenge to keep the meet rolling no matter what. Hot, rain, cold, wind, and even forest fires. You have to change plans, switch days, or just come up with a off the wall run. It seems this group likes it all. I was pleased. Some have problems with their Jeep and have to side line it. Not a problem with this group. They either fix it, or welcome the owner into their Jeep so they don't miss a thing. It's frustrating to have a Jeep do this to you, and it's still needing repairs, but I think that person finds out it's just as fun to drive someone elses Jeep and get new experiences and make new good close friends. Pretty cool huh?
