Each morning before launch, I open the shop door and plug in the coffee pot. This year we'll have cookies. Chocolate chip with nuts, and oatmeal with dates. Home made. I don't think they will last long. Sorta like the supersonic. You just have to wash that stuff down with a malt beverage ya know. More memories are going to be made. You just can't miss it. You guys will all look like old west bandits. Carol has been working like crazy making stuff. She gets to go this year. I'm glad. Head em up, move em out! Oilly

What no bacon and eggs? No pancakes? No spam and eggs? Just cookies? What's the deal? How about lunch? Suppose I gotta bring my own?

Things fell into place last evening. We just continued where we left off when last together. All smiles and happy to see your friends. The bull was flowing well and Steven geared up his usual comments while putting on and helping with Mike's waterpump. Team effort. Tools, lights, jokes, and crafty comments. Rudycon has a way of bringing this out of people around him. Muley was doing well also. Annie's shoulder is healing so well she was shaking hands with her injured arm/shoulder!!!!!!!!! Wow. Oilly

Here are some stills and a couple video clips. Weather has been perfect, lots dryer than last year and I miss the deep water crossings, but variety is the spice of life and I love it!.
Enjoy!, more to come in the next few days!.

Here are a few from today Hot stop with the Blue Mule. Hot and dusty jeeps The trail ahead At least it waited to go flat back at basecamp. Muleskinner was right there with me to put on the spare. Jpet showed me a better way to dismount the tire. Bruce asked me why I was doing it the hard way. Carol lent me the baby powder. Glen lent me a tube after I holed my spare. OilLeaker and Tiny taught me the right way to remount the tube and tire. Thanks to all! Jeep rainbow after tire 101.

Thanks to Lee and Rudycon (Steven) for posting. Lee finds the good in everything. A good influence and the guy that not only cheers you up, but finds holes in your armour to attack in good fun. Rudycon's snyde quick witted remarks will always entertain you. You find that another bolster to your day and without them it would be a much duller world. All were troopers on Tuesday. Very hot by afternoon. Dry and 95 degrees. Today we try something new. We take a day off and go see Mount Rushmore. Getting there and back with this big group is the challenge. Some will ride in my two army trucks while others will either drive their Jeeps, or modern vehicles. With a high density tourist zone there is no way a group leader will keep track of them. Just driving through a town in a straight line with stop lights seems to destroy all organisation. Try this yourself sometime. Now imagine that I have 19 Jeeps and M38 Mike will have 40 plus. The radios used in communication are line of sight and if you are in rocky canyons, it takes very little distance to lose communication. If people talk fast or just blurt out a quick statement, you will not understand it. Holding the microphone too close or too far from your mouth, wind, or Jeep noise also makes it impossible to understand. The very cool thing is when a chain is formed and messages are relayed. That works well. A meet like this takes planning, and meetings to try and inform the group what the general days route will be and what to expect. Still, confusion and unscheduled stops throw a big wrench into things and the timetable goes out the window. You just adapt , change the route, and get it done. All these people do well and adapt too! Good stuff. Oilly
