We have a new member, but not new to Jeeps. Rick Giles. (pronounce Jiles) A Idaho guy who is a OD type M38 owner. Warning! be careful, you will get what you dish out with him. After seeing just what type of guy he is, he is welcome in my garage anytime. Helped out, never complained, and pulled a good one on Lee at the motel. I hope he continues to participate on the various Jeep runs. More added spice and good support. What's amazing is when we have a small problem on the trail, the tallent and parts supply, tools, jacks, belts, points, fuel pumps, water pumps, crap just about anything is with us. If not, we have rescue units back at home base ready for deployment. I welcome Rick and will have his 6 anytime he needs me. Signed Leak Leader. ( I forgot---------he is from the the bright side of the force. No darkie!!!!! Willleeeesssseee Guy! Ya Hoo. We are winning Moosey!)

Just got a call from the motel in Whitewood. They had to pour all new cement steps to accomodate Jeeps. They still had Lee's credit card number, all is well. Oil

Check out the middle sticker on the mirror at the motel. It didn't say anything about polishing mud off your Wilhelm, did it Lee?

It decends and climbs, I totally desecrated the washcloth and towel cleaning my seats off. . , I felt so bad I took them home with me!, why worry, Rick picked up the tab. . . Seems Rick is new here, already calling the beasts Wilhelms, Bastages, ect. I think we can keep him!, no one else from Idaho here to pick on anyway. The Iron Horse Motel is a fine place to stay, I liked it!, concrete steps are to fancy, the railroad ties work fine. (rofl)n

Welcome, Rick. I really enjoyed your thoughtful comments while visiting camp leaker this year. Stick around. You won't learn anything jeep here, but you can learn a lot about jeep lifestyle related things...like teasing out information from BS.

This is Awesome!!! We have two new members. Rick G and Travis. Please formally introduce yourselves. We have quite the gang here. Travis messaged me with and engine question. I want him to know he should feel comfortable in posting here. Rick G dove right in!!! Perfect. I get the felling that folks viewing this forum are sometimes hesitant to post for fear of being flamed. It's not going to happen. This group of members in my humble opinion is the best group of Flat Fender Guys On The Web!! We cut each other's asses, but the knowledge here is second to none! Welcome aboard guys....

Hello Travis! What was the engine question? Are you from the dark side of the Jeep force? Speak Willys or Willis? Doesn't matter which, we still will talk to you. Oilly

Speaking of,,,, I heard a good ole Jimmy Buffet song earlier... The Ballad of Oily John, the Willis man..... (On a serious note, the writer of "The Ballad of Spider John" was named WILLIS Alan Ramsey, see fact is stranger than fiction)

Hello my name is Joel and I am a proud owner of a 1946 Willis Jeep. I acquired this Jeep about 5 months ago and have been in the process of just getting her to run. It came out of West Virginia and is in need of tons of attention. I live in east Tennessee and looking forward to driving this Jeep someday. Looking forward to reading and participating in this forum.

Hi Joel. Welcome. I used to live remotely near you, once upon a time. I was in Bristol (in the VA side, but about 1/4 mile from the TN line). Where about a are you?
