Boy, that sure could make for some eye candy sitting as a spare tire on a GPW. Now, who around here has a GPW amongst these Willys fanatics? Oh, I know! Send it south.

Now, who around here has a GPW amongst these Willys fanatics? Oh, I know! Yeah, me. How's it look now? "GPW with Bantam trailer. 100% bone stock original combo. Ran when parked. Now accepting qualified offers"

Looks like the trailer is built to last compared to the GPW. Ran when parked. Perfect. Oil

This is what I've figured out... By extremely diligent detective work and keen observation of the human condition! What Ryan forgot to mention was, that this was the before picture.... This is only after the South Carolina twins made a midnight "F" Script run.... Just like Paul Harvey Sez..... Now you know the rest if the Story! Ryan just didn't want to embarrass anybody, that's all!

I had a guy approach me out of the blue whilst I was parking my 3A in town today. A few hours later and I'm striking a deal to clean out the barn of a recently departed life-long Willys nut relative of his. Where is my camera crew?? The complete Jeeps (all 4) were spoken for but nobody had any idea what to do with the loose parts until I came along. I bought the entire contents of the garage but could only take a few things with me tonight. I'll be back with a trailer tomorrow and then figure out where the heck I'm going to go with it all. There's a lot of junk but a few treasures in the mix.... My 3A posing with its new finds Fuel pumps How about a nice YS? WO Wirshing MFG Governor. For a PE-95?? Gawd I hope this is for a 3A.... Motors and assorted junk... More pics as I drag stuff out this weekend..... And you guys have seen this before but I passed it today again and couldn't help but stop for a pic. Wicked decent.

I am in absolute awe. OMG. Are you related to Mel Fisher? Indiana Jones? You know exactly what I drool over. If that radiator is any good I'd like to make an offer on it.

Boxes of scoutpilot material. He needs a doctor to assist him so he doesn't have a medical problem ----LOL. Great job again jeep sniffer! If you ever run accross a lever for the vacuum wiper, put me on the wanted list! You're going to need a computer just to store a inventory list. Might as well quit your job and become Ryan's Jeep Emporium. Call with needs. All prices are negotiable! Start high.

Oilly- I haven't forgotten about your wiper lever but I just haven't found one yet. Looks like Rick may have you covered though.
Rick - PM sent
Scout - Tried to stop by the radiator shop on my way home today but they were closed. Will try again during the week.

Thanks Ryan. You have a mind like a steel trap. I'm starting to wonder about running a add around me. Did you do that on Craigs list or where? Oilly's hotline. Sounds good huh?

Thanks Ryan. You have a mind like a steel trap. I'm starting to wonder about running a add around me. Did you do that on Craigs list or where? Oilly's hotline. Sounds good huh? I have an ad on CL as well as the local old time classified rag called "Uncle Henry's". Any of you guys ever catch that short-lived program on History Channel called "Downeast Dickering"? That was based around swapping and selling junk through Uncle Henry's. My travels would have made far better episodes than what they came up with. I also always have my head on a swivel and am not afraid to knock on doors if I see something of interest. I've put the local salvage yards on notice that I'm looking for Willys junk and I will often put a sign on my Jeep at car shows or cruise nights that I'm always looking to buy stuff. A good many leads come from people approaching me when I'm in the Jeep. I'm terrible at small talk but the Willys is a fabulous ambassador. It's way more popular than I am

I'm straying from Willys material again here but wanted to post anyways. I chased this M37 down at an auction today. I've never driven one and don't know much about them but was immediately smitten - which is a very dangerous combination. I managed to get it running during the auction preview (as it was about the only vehicle out of the 200 there that had no key to hide from me ) and all seemed well enough. The blasphemous confession of "I would sell my M38 to free up funds and garage space for this thing..." popped in to my mind way faster than I hoped it would. Alas, someone at the auction wanted it worse than I did and the M38 is safe for now. The selling price exceeded my preset limit so no new toy for me. On the way home I decided to follow up on a rumor and found this, hood up and under a tarp: Limited spy photo here only. It's a one owner '59 Bugeye Sprite languishing in the dilapidated garage of said original owner. This will be a tough nut to crack but a great find either way. More to come from this one I hope.

The M37 isn't too far fetched from the M38. Same basic family tree...kind of! It's just a super sized M38! That one has a really sharp color scheme going for it. The firemen did her right!
As many jeeps as you have found up there, I bet you've got just as many trucks hanging out. Edit the CL post and let the exploring continue!

My apologies to Ryan. I don't want to hijack your thread, but the rest of these guys need to see that it's healthy to have a balanced sense of flat fender appreciation.
I prefer to look at it this way. The Dodge weapons carriers (WC series) of WW2 were the big cousins of the MB's and GPW's. Dodge followed pretty much the same path as Willys did after the war with the Power Wagon series and with no major changes until the mid SIXTIES. By that time, the market for them was overseas and way down south. But I digress slightly. The M37 came about at roughly the same time as the M38 and ended at roughly where the M151 came into service. A stable of venerable 4X4's is incomplete without a CJ and a PW. Meet the remuda: METHUSELAH 1948 B1-PW126
WILLY 1946 WILLYS CJ2A
BLUE 1948 WILLYS CJ2A
THE 5 1969 WILLYS-KAISER CJ5
Unseen are the remains of my '67 CJ5 and a '47 CJ2a. Both are hangar queens.

My apologies to Ryan. I don't want to hijack your thread, With a fleet like that you can hijack threads anytime! Great stuff. I was curious what you had down that away. I was aware of Blue but not the rest of the family. Thanks for sharing.
