Failure... The one thing the Chi-Coms don't do half-assed!

Destroyed. I figured my welds or the cable would fail before the entire thing blew in half. Good thing there was still 89 days and 1 hour left on my 90 Day Warranty. Buy new one take old one back If they sell me junk I'll give it back until I find a good one lol. We just got one here. I've spent a small fortune there lately. Some of the stuff is pretty good actually.

I've had very good luck at HF and I don't hold this episode against them. I have returned the mangled unit and upgraded to the 9,000 pounder. I'll probably fold my trailer in half with it...

We have one of those HF stores here. I like their wobbly extensions they work well.

That 2A looks pretty good Ryan, especially with the tires! Good days find! The floors look good. I see a repair on the 3A floor though.

First up - the 2A. Add battery. Check oil. Add coolant. No spark so I swapped distributor and coil with known good ones. Cut rubber fuel line running to crudded up tank and installed substitute made from a wine bottle, rag, coat hanger, and duct tape. Watched carb puke fuel all over the place so opened up and adjusted float to proper setting. No more flooding. Shut off and restarted in gear to free up stuck clutch. Road worthy.

Choke closed I see. But it sure looks like a keeper!

Choke closed I see. But it sure looks like a keeper! I knew you were going to notice that...LOL. The fact that this thing runs at all within 4 hours of getting pushed off the back of my trailer is nothing short of a miracle. I'm pretty sure I saw the Crypt Keeper jump out of the carb and run away when I opened it up to adjust the float.

I’ve seen something like that color scheme before. You have a Bumblebee!

A Willys Hotline tip sent me about and hour-and-a-half "Downeast" today seeking out this stash of goodness. Almost all of it is for sale but due to logistics I'm not sure yet if I want to tackle some, any, or all of it. Very cool place and very gracious host either way.. It was impossible to capture it all but here's a few shots that'll get the Willys juices flowing Your typical "Maine woods Willys truck find" There's a 2A in here somewhere Oh yeah there it is. That's as close as I could get.... Parts literally crammed into the rafters of various outbuildings. Crusty old 3A. Note the top bows. 3B. Good frame, fired up instantly, runs good, body utterly shot. I've never had a running 3B and this one is talking to me. 2A and CJ-5 Custom defroster system in the CJ5 3B plow rig. I believe that's a Willys hardtop, right? I like it. Pickup And another one Jeepster under a tarp Jeepster in a shed This is super cool. A stretch pedal car Willys WRECKER!! Never seen one before. So we'll see if this amounts to anything. If it does, you'll know about it

Your killing me... Any MBs or GPWs ? I am looking for a project to do a CJ2A plow Jeep. But I have to have a military to convert to civy. This would really be cool. That truck is awesome buy the way...

Just hard to believe all the stuff lying in the area. You could start your own Willys Old Home. Buy/sell/trade. Keep all the stuff you want, sell the rest. Willys of Maine. Murdock Jeeps. My head is spinning. Oilly

Cap'n - I looked right at the tag on that 3B top and I can't remember now what it was. Kelly, maybe? I was a little overwhelmed.
And Oilly - I'm thinking an appropriate name by the time I'm done here will be "Divorced Guy Jeeps, LLC".....

One down from this collection. I brought the 3B home last night. She's rough but seems like a decent runner. It was dark by the time I got home so I only took a short tear around the neighborhood. Further testing will be in order in the days ahead....

I'm going to guess the local DMV by now knows you by sight and goes: "Now what did you buy"?

Wahoa there Sir Ryan, watch that salt water, I've been told the rain from that will rot the Jeep right out from under you! Interesting, burning the berry patch, perhaps I need to try that!
