No..I was gonna ask ya if it was a sight of some kind for aiming something that went bang..
Ya know, you have all them axes and everything, I have been thinking, you really need a military bike to go with it.. A real gennie G 519. Keep your eyes peeled. I have a post war Columbia I will be making into a clone, and just picked up another similar one by Cleveland Welding in PA this past weekend.

Sir Hawkridge..Stripper is an ACE hardware in house spray on brand...it is Nasty! Mutiple layers as you can see from the pics. Sir Schimmster..pics are from my project that I have been working in for over Two Years Now. I do something every night. Pics I posted are almost current. It is a long process in my evening time.

I am going to put up a Special Post on the build thread tonight..... I had my Grandfathers Original Carb...I debated for for a long time about rebuilding it myself, sending it out. I could have at the time chosen anyone I wanted to do the job. I chose The "Scout Pilot". Rick is a Fantastic Craftsman, I was more than pleased with his work. This is so far the only work I have hired out. I felt this carb should be done by the master. From what I understand, he has even broadened his horizons lately. Pictures speak a thousand words.....here they are. Before.... After...

I never knew that they were black! Is it painted or is that some sort of chemical reaction? Nonetheless, it looks great. I've rebuilt a few. Never to that level of perfection, though.

For those of you interested in having a carb rebuilt, Scout Pilot can be found, on the 2A Pages, Here on the IFFC Forums, and The East Coast Willys Site.

That thing is awesome!!
My only concern would be the gas that will inevitably flow from my float bowl, because of a stuck float needle. Will it ruin the finish?

The windshield latch is very pitted, it works however now, so I shall keep it in my build. A long time ago a member told me that pits and imperfections, just showed it was the "Real Deal" I am not a Purist by any means other than just to save what is savable from my Grandfathers Jeep. It is hard to judge sometimes what to save, and what not too.

Personally I like Character in a Jeep, it's a latch nearly 70 years old , my dad used to say often while inspecting old guns,,,, "If it could only talk, we would get a damn interesting story",,,,,, I think your latch could do the same ;D,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,By the way Haines, it may be smelling really good in our house this coming weekend Lee
