Rather than lay in the slop to photograph, I will X2 the boycotting Hawkridge, his story sounds correct!, and I will go with that as fact. As he knows his Willys.

I don't care what anybody say's, but I know what I did. Because I was serious jeeping back in the late 60's, I know all about the wiring along the inside of the frame where it is supposed to be. It has a nack of getting ripped out by branches, mud, ice chucks and anything else you can think of! I know what the purists say, but I ran my wires to the back inside along the gas gage wire up on top of the rear fender, and then out and down and across. Far less problems, but it's your call!

Those lights are the one Grandpa probably installed during the 60s 70s to comply with NYS regulations. They stay. I could have recessed them. As from the start. Want to keep was his, as well as some of his mods.

See here my friend you are a "Target Ritch Environment" (Oilleaker says that) ( I spaced it out as well for the slow readers), I simply cannot help myself..... Your lights I thought were "Peterson" they are apparently the same!. Classic vintage replacements, what's not to love!..... Tip here for new members, Chi-Com is our word for Shit Parts....... Back in the Cold War years it meant Communist China, guess it still does, LOL. And most of the Shit parts sold (and most everything else) in our America comes from the Chi-Coms.

The problem, when you spell a brand or trade name incorrectly, there may be a knockoff brand (Chi-Com, if you will) with a name that is spelled as you have spelled it. Close but not exact. Accuracy in communication is the key to complete understanding. Tighten up guys. I may not be correct always, but I won’t let my error sit without being corrected.

Dietz goes way way back to the days of buggys that had dash lamps which were kerosene lanterns. Steam engine inspectors lanterns. Guess who collected those? Another sickness. Once I get into something, I get into it. You can branch out into Alladin Rayo, B&H oil lamps---------parafin fuel-----------the cleanest burning lamp oil, hey it's fun to drift eh?
