Glad you liked it, It did not turnout as well as we like, but were trying new equipment and I over adjusted it and it made it to thin, trust me I will make up for it next year. I would guess your jaw is tired from talking. enjoy your trip, that is what your there for. Lee

Up again at 6. Coffee at the Thirsty Dirt Ranch is top notch. All I can say, is I don't know what to say. There is not enough thumbs up icons to describe this place. I rode with Bruce W yesterday to the Aspen Ridge. He is a most fantastic driver, and great company. Today's adventure has not yet been announced. More to come.....

I have seen no live Elk, however the Elk Chili was Delicious! I did see some Big Horn Sheep, Mule Deer, and antelope. On the midnight ride, black out I turned around to view the mountains in the full moon. I was riding with JPet and his son. I said I wish I could take a picture of that. Jeff said no pictures can show this, or something like that, you just have to see it for yourself. That has been my thoughts, and has been talked about multiple times here these past few days, with multiple members. There is no way to describe, no videos, or pictures to post that could describe the Awesome beauty of this place. I have hundreds of pictures that I have taken, and multiple videos to share in the following days. They are impressive, no doubt, I hope you will enjoy them.
This trip has been a life changing experience for me. I would hope that any flat fender owner out there can experience the same things that I have these past few days, at some point in their lives. Its late, and camp has to be broken down in the morning.........Goodnight.....Much more to come.

I agree on the photo's, they are great for memories of a wonderfull trip, but nothing like what we see through the eye's god gave us, they just do not show the details of mountains and valleys. Thanks for posting of your adventure . I bet there is room for a home improvement contractor in the Rocky Mtns. ;D, Looking forward to tales of your "Wild West Show". Lee

See, didn'a I tell ya it would put a smile on your face??
I'm stuck in a motel room in Colfax Iowa doing my paperwork, so keep posting stuff I can look at during my breaks from the drudgery.
Tell those guys to watch them rocks.. I keep seeing spare tires missing large rock like objects by mere microns in the videos... Lovin' every minute of it.

The date is September 18th , 2013. I board a plane full of anticipation, from Charleston South Carolina. I leave a place that is just above sea level. The highest peak we have is the Ravenel Bridge. I arrive in Denver Colorado in the late afternoon. I am greeted by Sir Hawridge, even through the glass of his pick up truck , I recognize him immediately. We drive back to the Hawkridge Ranch, I am given the Grand Tour. The Garage, The Workshop, Main House and Grounds. There are Horses, and a friendly pack of puppy dogs. * Note: Sir Hawkridge is not only a Fantastic Jeep restorer, but a Master Carpenter. No arguing here Tim, your work is superb. I have been a contractor for 20+ years and know what I am talking about! We spend the evening in conversation, and great anticipation for the days to follow. I am lead to my chambers, where Mrs. Hawridge has left a welcoming arrangement for me..... Cigars, Mints, and Jeep Literature! I sleep like a baby, with the sounds of Horses snorting, crickets singing, and the cool crisp Colorado air brething a bed time song into the window. Morning Arrives! We Load up ODie, and head for the Thirsty Dirt Ranch! The trip to the Thirsty Dirt Ranch was the most scenic drives I have ever been on!! Before I go any further, I want to thank Tim and Rachel Hawkridge, for going out of your way, and making your home, feel like my own. This whole dream trip of mine, would have never been possible without you. It was like visiting my favorite family members. M38 Mike, M38 Mum, and their Son Steve, at the Thirsty Dirt Ranch have my most sincere gratitude as well. Mike provided me with a Military Tent, a cot, mattress pad, and nice fluffy pillow to sleep on . They are most generous with their beautiful home, and make everyone feel welcome. It takes a lot of time and effort to do what they do , and it is most appreciated.

That's a great stream of photos. Where the heck was I when you were taking them?
We had a great time with HG as a house guest. I laid out all the house rules, and HG followed them to a "T". To be honest, there was only one rule...no smoking in the house. ;D
I don't think Scott knows how significant his visit was for Rachel and I. He was the only over night house guest we have ever had. Generally, we are very private people, but I wanted to help Scott realize a dream. Sounds like we accomplished that mission.
Thank you Scott, for making this a special and incredibly unique event for me too.
Tim
