I'm here. Just getting all the ducks in a row. Oil pan back on. Filled with oil. Pumped oil back in to fill galleys. Made sure oil filter canister is filled to top.
Adjusted focus...
Did a bunch of boring stuff. See build thread.

Another thing you could do, if your starter is not spinning the engine over very fast is pull or tow the Jeep with the plugs out. Let the clutch out and watch your gauge. If you start it with compression because the plugs are in, and you still don't have pressure, that's when you'll roast the bearings. Too bad I'm not your neighbor, I'd come help you. I love to help when it's not my $ on the line. John

Always have been a fan of that Queen Song. Back to the Oil Pressure... Gentlemen, we have Pressure!! We also have an engine that starts and purrs like a freakin kitten!!!!!!! Pressure range 10 lbs at idle, 40 lbs under load. Details: Same oil pump. Same process. Same oil. Charged battery. I just don't think the starter had enough uuumpff to pressurize the system until I actually started the darn thing. Only drawback...fuel pump has a ruptured diaphragm. Too bad. This is a really cool original 3A pump. I will rebuild it and put it on ODie. I have a reproduction on its way for Whitey. The only frustrating thing is all the time and effort I wasted on a problem that didn't exist. All in all, I'm having a really good day!!! Tim P.S. Oh, and I had to buy a new starter solenoid. Don't know why the original stopped working.

Here is what I think you should do. Buy a NOS oil pump When installed, pack it with Vaseline Fire that joker up.... That's my vote. Hmmmmmmmmm. I am glad that it all worked out, knew it would.

I'm pretty sure all of us here, except for HG since his jeep doesn't run (according to the #1 mexi-merry Xmas song of all time) has experienced an oil pressure problem of significant and frustrating magnitude as yours! Welcome to the group! Haha!
Glad it's done and over with AND that the next problem has soooooo easily identified itself to you. The jeep through you a sympathy bone on that one!
Have a great weekend now that that load is off your mind!
