G503 fuel pump rebuild kitI keep Ron F on speed dial! Debella has nice parts, but he once sold me some defective stuff once upon a time in my naive days and then claimed I was never a customer. My credit card and mailed receipt weren't proof enough for him.

He'll have a green strap running down from the upper footmans loop through the loop on the bracket and back up to the buckle. The ax head rests in the metal loop with the blade tucked up inside the wedge shaped metal holder. They work amazing! No bozos screw with you when they see your AX!!!!!!!!!

This I knew,, And good spin, but the screws that hold that bracket on are sort of specific. Just curious on what you used, they look good...
What kind of axe are we talking about mounting?

The screws I got from Lowes. Not may slat screws available from these places anymore. Will probably go to Fastenal next time. I want the military type with the thinner handle so I know it will fit properly.

I will make you an offer Sir Eric.. You build for me a tool indent repair panel, like the one you did, and I will Do a Kelly Flint Edge 4 pound marked axe for you. At current I only have the head, My shovel inventory is way low...Hard to find! Name how you want it...head color, handle finish. I like the OD Green with the simply Linseed Oiled Handle. I promise it will fit! I could buy one, but I think It would be a posterity thing, We take care of each other!, and a fair trade. What Say You Sir?

Got a few things in the mail from Debella and decided to put a few of them on. Got the full hardware for the top bows. The unmarked ones as they were the cheapest. I made a template out of paper and set it on the GPW tub I have to get the holes for the bow hardware and the grab handles in the right spots. I ordered two new grab handles and am using two original GPW ones.

Put the other set of hardware on the other side and decided to set the top on. I picked this top up last year for $40 at a Jeep meet. It needs some repair but I think repaired it will add character to the Jeep.

I will start working on the indent panel and you will have to patch it in. The front and rear come in separate sections. After you weld them in the front has to be formed to fit over the rear.
Black axe and linseed handle would be nice. But WWII anything is great.

Found a 6v generator about 15 miles from the house from a fellow jeeper. The one with the unusual green Jeep I posted on your FB page. Only $40. Should be able to pick it up tomorrow. Anyone got an armature for a 6v generator so I can have my other rebuilt?

It looks like a show piece! Semi-gloss black paint does well. Just looking to do something special for Sir Eric.

Finished the other side today. Also put on a generator the I got off another Jeeper that helped me out for the 4th of July. So took a ride with the new numbers. Tranny still shifts stiff in 3rd and grinds a bit sometimes. I will try another clutch adjustment. Have two other trannys and transfers just don't want to change them out if I don't have to. Tore a stomach muscle at work and am off for 7 days. Guess I am not 20 anymore.

New official name for my Jeep. Not "Maynard" anymore. It needs it's own personal name. Especially one that is WWII and of Artillery in nature. It shall be henceforth known as "Short Round"! Any people who understand Artillery will get this name for many reasons. It came to me while driving it around today.

I think you did a great job on the stencils! And the nickname is pretty funny.
I don't have any extra mirror bracket. I've got a repro on the GPW, lucked out and found an original for the WC, and am mirror less on the MB. I joke that I put out a good enough smokescreen that I couldn't seen anything anyways! Haha
