Surprise!, there are NO rear seat brackets for a CJ2A.... The front 2 legs hook under tabs in the rear floor, the back legs have pegs that vertically go through the rear floor and snap in between two flat springs...... Now the big question, do you have a MB seat or a CJ2A ?.... Lee

It's a 2A seat for sure. I have the brackets that are mounted under the rear. The floor that I replaced, does not have the cut outs pre done for the rear mounts. My man on Facey Book Justin Tisdale USMC sent me perfect measures and pics. I had them, but it has been a while...couldn't find them.

Not sure of the official name, but I would call them Seat Retainer Clips.

Those rear seat retaining clips actually have two spring loaded rollers in them. Pretty slick design, but keep them lubed. Scott has brass on the brain. Put some brasso in your coffee!

What do you get when you mix Lard, Brasso and brass? The answer had better not be HG! But that is a cool sign.

Now we here offer something No Other Flat Fender Site Has!!! With the help of my compadres !!! I took one of my rear seat clips apart. I find inside what I believe are two pieces of metal. Perhaps 4 as shown by the screw driver. Is is possible to restore an original?

Hmmm, I fear there is a small fib being perpetrated here. Looks a lot like brass colored paint. Besides, I didn't think brass rusts.
On a serious note, I believe I read a post where someone rebuilt these clips...maybe at the 2A Page. There are also nice reproductions. I have a set that are in a bit better condition than your brass set. I am considering a rebuild.

No No No.... Not on the CJ2A page. Not like what's coming here. When the Viking Captain cleans the gopher out of his teeth, maybe he will speak!!! It really is special! No Joke.
