I have full authority to improve on both the design and function of my WILLIS the way I see fit. Not to muddy a very good thread, but... I believe this is the epitome of a "modifier". You're not pure. You're not pure at all! Besides, it's unlikely a "Poop Head" would spell the name of the vehicle wrong! So, let's move past the Poop Head talk or I will ban this word! Update...Banned it!

I just googled Purist, HG. Turns out "Bubba" is a synonym of it.

In case I have to reiterate to you wonderful fellows. I am Haines The Purist! I say Brass bolts are Cool, and John North himself came to me in a dream, and told me what I say is right!! Now you cannot argue. He also told me to let you boys know he pronounces his name Will-IS!! Now it's not my fault the Maker of the Jeep chooses to use me as his current representative . I just do what the voices in my head tell me too.

Besides not connecting the wires to the horn and going "meep meep", what didn't he do? Curious. I will sit back, smoke my cigar, twirl the tips of my fancy, waxed mustache and watch the tassel on my fez cap flip around my cranium while I nod my head in rhythmic fashion. Perhaps I'll don my burgundy with black laced smoking jacket and contemplate a technical manual. (HG has dressed me rather dapperly over on my face page! THANKS, BUDDY!)

He could find one of those old ford "ground to start" (8n tractor) solenoid and use the horn button to start the chassis!

I am trying to solder a horn lead to the brass bushing and having little success. What type of soldering iron are you using? I have triad an electric iron and do not thin the one I have is heating the bushing sufficiently.. Any guidance would be appreciated.
