Holy @&$#€£¥%!!!!!!! First off, what kind of person has this much stuff stashed in a shed for a million years and secondly, how do you keep sniffing it out??!! If you and Scout can determine if any of those fuel pumps fit a WC, I'm in for buying! And you know I like to buy Ford crap in a box...don't care what it goes to either. Once you get it inventoried, lemme know your $$! By the way, die those nifty littleGPW boxes say GPA 18363? Might be some sort of generator repair kit? As always, crazy cool!!! Those Ford boxes are marked "2GA 18363.......GEN REPAIR KIT". There's some other foil wrapped pieces that look like they go to a generator too. I'd post more pics but right now Photobucket is too busy downloading spyware onto my PC and refuses to upload anything.

I love to open those WW2 wax sealed boxes. They just smell cool. Like a time warp. If those are generator kits, I'm in for one too! Unless Moosey wants all of them. oilly

Last picture, bottom center. So little to see. But it does look to be promising for a Chrysler product. Sad news? That I can see, the first three shown aren’t Willys. You may be finding out why they were still in storage.

You may be finding out why they were still in storage. That's a very real concern. It wouldn't be my first time being the last guy to pick over a pile of parts. I still couldn't resist, though....just had to have 'em

Moooooosey, like the rest of us!, only the old cromudgond that Sir Ryan liberated this stuff from most likely paid little for it back in the Stone Age, and never sold any of it as he may need it himself!. My guess would be he either passed away or is on the short end of life and is finally house cleaning............. An absolutely outstanding score Sir Ryan.

I'd like the brushes and springs for sure. Let me know what you need for a box, Oilly

I dragged this home yesterday. I actually "bought it" about a year ago with a trailer load of parts which you have already seen here but just didn't have any room left on my truck so I left it behind. I was bored last week so I called the guy to see if he still had it and he did. I was hoping to be able to just drop it on the red 3A and jettison the BesTop but this thing is a little rougher than I had hoped. It's missing a lot of glass and has some rot. I think it would be a fun and relatively easy project to fix this up but I have so many projects ahead of it who knows if I'll ever get to it. I couldn't find a tag. Any idea what brand it is? And were these full tops a "universal" fit between 2A's a 3A's or were they model specific?

Gee, Ryan you make me think about the "other" jeep that supposedly came with mine when I bought it. Since I don't have a trailer, I took my buddies up on their offer to pick it up from Dobson and take it to Charlotte, for me to pick up later which I did. At that time, my friend said "Jack told me to remind you about the other jeep up on the hill", which I never saw. They took photos, etc., and I never followed up until months later. NOW, since I haven't ever once heard back from him (or his family..) I wonder if something happened to him/them and if it's still there even... Sorry, back to the thread.

Koenig Ironworks hard top. Go back and look at the pictures posted of Herm. Same top. The tag was just behind the passenger door with 4 rivots on the outside of the RR quarter. Be careful before you jump into it. Someone has modified the leading edges of the front door panels that connect to the windshield. A CJ2A type Koenig had a channel with a front and rear metal strip pocket that enclosed the windshield outer tube part of the frame. A CJ3A just had flat metal that screwed to the flat of the windshield frame square tube. Good part is flat metal is easier to fabricate. Measure the top width of your windshield frame on the 3A and then with the doors slid up into the top, measure it. I have some CJ2A extra door parts for one. Let me know what you need. I may have a window raiser mechanism. No handles though. The handles fit square posts and other types will work. I had to order window channel for both my Koenigs. Sure are nice with roll up windows. You are one crazy scrounge of a Jeep sniffer. I try, but you got me beat. oilly

Oilly - Good info. I found the 4 rivet holes where the tag used to be. Based on your description I believe this will fit a 3A but it'll be a lot of work to get it there. For now, it's going back outside.
Jeff - Go get that other Jeep and report back post haste.

I'll try to get in touch with Jack. Phone's been disconnected and I've never gotten a return letter from several written, but I shall try. Dobson, NC ( IDNV Winston-Salem ) isn't close, unless of course we're headed up to NC or VA ... anyone we know up those parts? LOL

The Scout Pilot is closer than me. I'm in Eastern NC. About a 4 hour drive to Dobson.

If you’re thinking I should acquire it, please reconsider. I don’t have room for it. I already have a ’46 I need to restore, a Power Wagon in need of service, a hangar queen and two others to maintain. But if someone was interested I might be able to spare some time to go look at it for that individual.

Jeff bought said jeep a few years ago as a package deal with his beloved Lucille. If my memory is correct, it is an MB with a post war MZ conversion. It's a great wreck of a parts vehicle. I'd have brought it home since it came in the deal. Jeff's priorities weren't straight back then. Unfortunately, Jeff doesn't know how to get in touch with the Owner.
