I figured the purist in you wouldn't mind paying for something that is correct.
You are going to get cheap now?
You might not even need a top to be able to drive it. I bet a lot of us used our jeeps for quite some time before worrying about a roof.

I installed the rear seat. The rebuilt clips with The Clock Spring work perfect. I made side cushions, or seats to hide the nasty rails... All the ad ons are installed and bolts primed and painted. I had to make a bracket to raise up the spare carrier to clear the bumperettes.

Are you done with college and off to the working world? Scott's been hustling to finish his Jeep in time for your retirement party.

Working on the military star and markings on the hood. This is the fun stuff. I have to have some success tonight! Everything I have touched lately has turned out wrong. The pressure is getting to me. I have made stencils of my own for the numbers. The invasion star was purchased from military stencils. Thanks for the tip Sir Eric! I am waiting for the first coat of Semi Gloss White to dry. Using the Air Brush... Like my masking job!! Hahahahaha !

Looks real good Scott.
You may know this, but I'll give you the hint anyway...
After the final coat, let the paint set up for just a few minutes, then pull the stencils. You do NOT want to wait until the paint drys. Trust me on this.

I did just that. I bought the stars, but made the numbers on advice from Sir Eric and Bo Bo Turocy. I have some touch up to do. Not a big deal. I

Agreed! That's gonna look great with mud all over it when the paint fades in the heat of Hades. I mean, the Lowcountry...

Wow, all of your Facebook friends certainly have an opinion on how you should've painted it! Looks good. Hope it rolls out of the garage is every now and then. Hey...serious detail question. I noticed the stars on your windscreen. That is because of the picture with your grand dad by the jeep during the war. In the original picture, was the forward point of the star at the front of the hood (above the radiator)?

In the picture with two jeeps, they might have opposite stars on each jeep.

Wow, what's next, G503 Boxer Shorts. Yawn Not a pureist or anything, perhaps Sir Moooosey can verify, the font on the hood numbers appears to be incorrect per manual.......... Just sayin, it's yours, do it your way! Attention members, this posts comments was a simple observation, comments not meant to harm or cause worry, if you disagree.

I don't have to be correct! It's very liberating! Feel me. I do what I want , dabble in the purist world. I know the game. It's called creating value. Here is what I value. God, My Family, My Friends... If you post YAWN one more time, I am going to stick your POS output shafts so far up your arse that your breath is going to smell like gear oil!!!!! Bastage, Corksucker, Icehole!!!
