Just makes you feel good doesn't it? The biggest pain is now over with. Once you get your sweetie tuned and drive it around, I'm sure the disease will return. You can't have just one. Jeeps can be placed in a corner and shut off. They won't yell at you, or bother you. They are your friends. They will wait patiently for your return and then go have fun with you. You need to take the wife on nice fun rides. If she enjoys them, you will not hear any complaints about your hobby. I can't wait to see her together. Go man go. Oilly

Looks great HG!!! Sure glad I didn't issue you a challenge! I thought sure I'd get my m38 done and drivable before you got around to painting. So what's the next project going to be? You have all those tools and expertise you have to use them. Maybe a GPW, MB, M38, you can't stop at one.

Holy Crap HG! That's awesomer than awesome! Things will start to come together quickly once the tub is mounted. Brush up on the F-word and all derivatives of same as you'll be fluent by the time you finish the wiring!

Me thinks some of you military jeep nuts are confusing me with your wire harness installation suggestions. Exactly which part will be easier on a 2A with the tub off? Tim My bad. I don't know shit about a postwar jeep. His wannabe WWII jeep with the wrong paint must have got in my head. I was thinking G503 and running the main harness into the dash and clipping it to the underside of the tub back to the tail light pigtails...before attaching the tub to the chassis. And yes, that is way easier without the tub on the frame. Matter of fact, its easier to wire inside the dash, too, without the steering column and 3 levers jacking with your neck and head.

There was plenty of room to roll around under the truck and to take a nap...but dang, it was a be-atch to thread thru the various points it needed to go. Haines...start a pole!

He's a purist, though. Have you two forgotten that? I don't think he has, or intends to put anything on his wannabejeep that wasn't originally on THAT specific jeep.

In fact, given the exquisite piece of workmanship that HG's machine has become he may find this to be a more suitable accessory for the occasional skulk outside the safe womb of the garage:
