Brass wingnuts won't attract to a magnet tool when under your gas tank. better re-think this HG!

Easy there Guys! Ever think maybe, just maybe, no one ever showed HG how to shift a 3spd manual?? Lighten up! That whole "clutchey" thing can be intimidating!

Come on Rick, he figured that stuff out when he did the rolling chassis tests. Let me see...that was a year or 2 ago...right? Totally Stalling!!!!!!
HG doesn't want the journey to end...EVER!

HG doesn't want the journey to end...EVER!I've always thought this, Hawk, but I've never stated it. I'm no psycho-analyst, but it has something to do with finishing the jeep and then thinking/feeling he will be letting go of his grandfather. We all know he is mental, but he has something twisting around his brain and his heart that is distorting the reality. HG...yes, when I built my jeep, every thought was dominated by the joy of presenting it to Warren and dreaming of all of the future jeep rides with him. The journey doesn't end with a finished restoration. It continues. The best part for you (other than driving it) will be doing all of the same preventative maintenance on it that your grand dad did for 60 years.

Sir Turocy that is the nicest thing you have ever said. How about that. The Mooster sticks up for ole HG . And you are probably right. Your a good friend. This does not mean that I will stop picking on you, nor expect you to quit with picking on me.
Thank You. That last post really did mean a lot to me.

Good Video HG. Cracked me up. I must admit that your starting point was rough. Hell, I remember when you were learning how to weld sheet metal. You’ve come a long way with your skill set…and that tub. You should be very proud of it. That said, we just all want to see an OD tub sitting on that kick ass chassis of yours. It’s agonizing for us to see a tub sitting there…ready for paint…just to see you add 6 more accessories (bling) …thus delays. This machine was a ‘Grunt’ for Grandpa. What would he say about all the lipstick? Don’t get me wrong. Clearly, I like some “bling”. But think ‘practical’ here. Adding a couple holes after paint will not be the end of the world. I sure as hell did it. You just need a small touch up brush. Tim

Wasting good paint. Use rollers and brushes and you'll have very little paint loss due to overspray. You don't need a mask either. If you tried that here right now, you would have 1000 boxelder bugs, wasps and stink bugs stuck all over it. But, you are moving forward!

It was perfect in Charleston SC today! 60 degrees , light wind, no bugs. I don't need a mask?!!! You Bastages have picked on me since day one with your OSHA safety BS! It's amazing I made it this far..... The tub actually looked OK in the sunlight , I only had a few things I was dissatisfied with.

Here is how today went down. My Daughter was home for the weekend from college . I was griping about taking the tub into the back yard to paint. They helped me carry the tub into the back yard . We did. After setting up the compressor and bringing all needed, I only had time to scuff sand and apply two coats of Red Oxide primer to the top and bottom of the tub. I had to flip it myself , and did. Haines ain't no SIs!! I plan to wet sand before the application of the OD Green. It is in the back yard, and underway.
