Veteran's Day!

This weekend starts festivities for remembering our veterans past and present.  

Here in south west Virginia there are parades in Roanoke, VA (televised live in WSLS10) on Saturday the 8th, Floyd, VA on Sunday the 9th and the National D-Day Memorial in Bedford, VA.

I plan to be at all three.  There will be many veterans form WWII to present.  I plan to meet and thank as many as possible.  I will also post pictures when I get back from these events.

I wish to thank all of you who served and all of you who stand by us that have served.  And all of you who represent to help keep all the vets remembered in our future generations.

Cold day today. Windchill going in was like 19 degrees. Felt like maneuvers in the winter when I was in the army. Lots of vets but not too many older ones because of the cold. Only have a staging shot. It was live on WSLS10 in Roanoke but they haven't put up the film yet. I will post when and if they do.

Tomorrow is my home town parade and that should garner more pictures. We have a nice pre-parade hospitality area and it is great for meeting Vets and getting pictures.
