I always heard that the supersonic Henry j head would give your flathead 134 more compression and power if you put one on. I figured it must have less squish area for the fuel charge to be compressed before firing. Well, I just happened to have them laying side by side and was looking at how the depressions on the bottom were exactly the same shape. I then saw it. The depth indeed was less on the supersonic. That's the difference. I then realised I'll need wheelie bars on the back of Willis to keep from flipping over backwards when I stand on the throttle. Those poor razor blade mud and snows will take a beating. John Force will live in fear of me. Oilly

I'm running a Supersonic in Short Round. But it has the standard L134 intake and carb. The Supersonic intake was different and so was the carb.

As you can see it is running the standard L134 intake and carb. Common in replacement engines. When they quit making Henry Js they had left over engines and these were sold as replacements. I guess sans intakes and carbs.
