I have question: I'm thinking about purchasing a new welder. Thought I would ask the Garage team for their thoughts. (This maybe a mistake) What would you recommend for a home workshop? Mainly for resto projects and to fix the crap the wife drags home from garbage sales.

I use a Miller wirefeed 135 110 volt and love it. That model is now a 140 or 145. Easy to plug in anywhere. It will weld 1/4 inch with a slight bevel ground very well. It also handles sheet metal superbly. I reach for it by choice now. Oilly
