Engine shots!

Look at the screendoor spring on the carb/fender.





I did spend some time with the engine prior to removing it, remember the muffler from the last post



The Wilhelm Whisperer had the fireing order off 1-4-3-2 and 90 deg off besides . Whisperer my ass, a regular detard as HG would say . I did get it to run on 2/3 cyls but I believe there are stuck valves. The exhaust system was in good shape other than the muffler and was most likely new when the soft talking expert did his timing job! .

Holy Smack a Roni Batman!!! It is a POS!!!!!
However , I like the generator, starter, valve cover , all kinds of bolts!!!!!
You can recoup whatever you bought that for..
I have had one F head. The engine internals clean are desirable . Especially the " rocker assembly"
I am just an amateur speaking from what I have dine.

I've heard of glass pack mufflers, but--------dirt pack? Start it up and see how she sounds. Love the soft wood ride too! You don't use walnut though. it rides harder. LOL John

The screen door spring reminded me of something...about a year ago, the spring on my WC snapped. I needed something in a jiffy and I found a similar type spring in my garage. Oh....no.....I'm bubba! Gonna get that replaced in my next Bizal order.

Thanks anyway Lee! Wow, it's hard to believe that there really are such crude people out there! You have to admit though, that there must have been a lot of thought put into that spring salvage operation!! lol What about the frame, is it any good? You gotta get sumthing out of it!!

Chuck, the front 1/2 of the frame is perfect , the back 1/2 is rusted thin and IMO not serviceable.

Does that F head run? I liked the rollbar removal. Is this the 3B the diesel is going in? With a little work it could be in need of more.

More of a test mule for the diesel, if the engine will fit I will move to a better platform. I am waiting for a flywheel from Kentucky, be here next week!.




By the way, the F head did not run, has a couple stuck valves.
