That was awesome! The MC that announced you mentioned that he didn't know the version that you sang. What is the difference between the original (your version) and the other?

The new one became more politically correct. Soldiers instead of men and Air Assault down instead of Jump. A few other things were changed too. Original Songs of the military should not be changed. They are tradition. We as soldiers know how things change but the or traditions should remain unspoiled.
It would be like changing the National Anthem.

Major, Have you ever been to Toccoa GA Currahee MT? No I have not. But I do need to go there. As bad as my knee is (I have not been able to run in 9 years), I would have to try and at least jog it. Did a lot of full pack marches and such in the Army. Always PT in the morning at Fort Campbell (101st Airborne Air Assault). |

This was a song written by Britt Taylor Collins and sung to the tune of Ghost Riders I The Sky. About the Vietnam Vets. After he heard me sing the Division Song he asked if I would sing his song with him before the presentation of a picture he did to the Vet that inspired it. I was humbled and honored. Song is towards the end.

Brothers resides there. Where they slept in England! I have relatives there. I have always dreamed of doing a Jeep show / meet there ! I am talking when they do the jump show ! Not trying to pirate your singing thread ! It is Awesome. ! But what would you think of something like that ? Maybe in the Spring ? Wow !!! And that's how it happens. ! |

I would love to do it. Got the WWII Jump uniform as well. And a 101st marked jeep. Need to get those indents done and sent on to you. Redoing my trans and transfer. Leaking all over from the old gaskets I didn't replace. That's only 5 hours from me. Just checked.   |
