I think one was nine bucks. The other probably about the same.

Well, the wonderful, beautiful axe showed up today. I immediately went out the the garage to put it on the jeep and the axe sheath popped off. Seems the aftermarket ones are a little too shallow. I now need to mold is better to fit the axe with no slop and tack it back on. Picks to follow.
It sure do look purdy.
Thanks Herr Deutscha Haines!

Whhhoooaa!!! not even finished with the thread and you got you axe! You should have grabbed that head for $9.00 by the way! Not Jeep, but very valuable, finished, and getting harder to find!Glad you like it!

So to finish, the last step is to oil the handle with Boiled Linseed oil. Multiple coats, until it wont soak in any more. Sanded smooth by hand. Watch the grain "POP"

Lt Eric, It is safe to use, and not fully sharpened. It will cut, but you can put a Razor edge on that steel. I should think, it should ride on your Jeep! I am most glad THAT YOU ARE HAPPY !

The ax in it's happy new home. The sheath popped off as soon as I tried to set it in. So a I had to bend is out for a little more room as it was way to shallow for the ax. It looked that way when I tacked it on but put in on anyway. I also had to adjust the handle holder outward and and angle it backwards a smidge.
