I have a great connection and more importantly a "Friend" in the Jeep world. We all know him here as Captain Leemeister, or Lee. When removing my original bell crank from Grandpas Jeep, I immediately noticed the ball was badly distorted and cracked. I set it aside, and told myself, I will need a new one of these. I bought a second parts jeep, a later model 46, and found that bell crank to be in almost perfect condition. I restored and kept it, and sent the original to the scrap heap. What A MISTAKE.!! I paid no mind to the fact that these parts are completely different. Thankfully Captain, had just what the Doctor Ordered, and sent it to me. ( A million thanks) Here are the photos of before, and after... Isn't this fitting cute... I had a hard time getting the inner needle bearings and cups out.. had to use heat and a brass drift. All Clean up! Numbers Primed and painted New Zerk fitting ( One of the hundreds I inherited from Grandpa Haines
