Haha! I'm just a little bit of a tool snob. I'm sure each of those tools are old and are valuable to somebody. I just know what I need for each of my specific tool kits and don't waste my limited allowance funds on wannabe's! Glad you got them out of there...now I won't waste my time looking at them. I'm fixated on sockets for the moment, so you can have a free-for-all on the wrenches.

Good play poker boy, but you missed...How do you like those Benz tools? Came from, Easley! The Warren marked one is yours...free of charge. As I said , just for posterity.

OK...I guess HG beat me to the flea market and scarfed up all of the axe heads. Hmmmm.
However, I did find a few jewels, though, that he left behind. Check it out:
The two open ended wrenches are for jeeps. The smaller one is a Williams 723. It should be a WW2 vintage. During the war, they didn't quite "finish" the wrench due to the sake of time involved. You can still see the grinding marks (parallel lines) on the face of the wrench.
During the war, they weren't polished smooth. Look here: Scroll down to figure 99
The larger wrench is a Chrome Alloy Fairmount 27C. Another definite WW2 jeep tool.
I've already got these sizes, but why is it SOOOO impossible to pass them up? Hopefully one day I will part with them and sell them (at a reasonable price) to a friend! (HG...I said "friend")
The other couple tools will go into my GMTK sitting in the background.

Very Nice!! If you don't mind me asking what did you pay? I paid $10.00 for the last lot I showed here! The Ford wrench alone, an easy $20.00. I keep them for myself...for the time being

I found another neat little wrench today but I actually had to shell out some money for it - a whole dollar! It probably isn't worth much more than that but I thought it was cool anyways. 8" Walworth "Automobile" Stillson Wrench

That's a gorgeous little wrench! I'm on the hunt for one like it. I might find it if HG would stay on his side of the River.
I need a 6" version of it for my general mechanic tool kit. Even though it says 8, it looks shorter beside the pen. Hmmmm.....I'd offer you $2, double your money, but shipping it would ruin my margins!
Nice find, though. It's been a good couple of days.

The handle part is just over 6". The overall length is 8" with it opened as far as it can go. Is that the one you're looking for?
I also found a Ford Torpedo wrench but they wanted a whopping $6 for that. Too expensive for my taste. I decided leave it for HG.

Cute. Cute tools. You just keep John Wayning through the antique tool world while I methodically plod forward bypassing most, and taking home only the necessary tools to complete my kits.
Again, take the old crap home so I don't waste my time looking at them!
And you've almost pushed me to the point of showing you my gems. Almost.

Uh huh....you don't know what that is do you? All cleaned up and rust free...going in my box as a keeper. Your just Jello-ness! Do some more research....then when you get the Zen of tools...they will just call out to you...
