Well done HG. "Restoration" is a highly abused term and one I have never referred to any of my projects as. "Refurbishment" is my term of choice....at least when I'm not swearing profusely at something...

As the one I posted is locked and is completely factual. Lets here the stories....This should be FUN! You can't argue with Websters.... And your Jeeps are FANTASTIC!....Don't kid yourself...But you are humble as well...and we all love that

I like "reconditioned". People throw "restored" out there way to easily.

Love the "Restored" jeeps on e-bay and craigslist. We need to have section for these "restored" jeeps. Would be a hoot. But...just our luck would be someone we know.

Well Haines, since you locked me out, here I am. When I bought my POS that Bubba had refurbished, it had allot of Patina. He said he rebuilt it with NOS parts, when he rebuilt it. Hogwash! He had cobbled it instead! So, I bought some vintage and reproduction parts to do a complete restoration! ---------How do you like me now? signed Sir leaker.

You guys have forgotten, 1) "It ran great when we parked it in the pasture 20 years ago" 2) "Granpa bought it in a crate after the war" 3) "Dad bought it from outdoor life magazine for $50, and hey the axels are in great shape, they go for $1000 ea. on E-Bay" 4) Resto-Mod Lee

One of my "favorites" is "rebuilt". Rebuilt engine, rebuilt starter, rebuilt carburetor, rebuilt etc. Seems as though guys think that if they take it apart and put it back together, it's "rebuilt" NOT!! I won't go into detail, you guys all know what I'm sayin',,, BW

A good one during the musclecar era was, "Never raced or wrecked". Right. A 454, 4-speed, positraction, Chevelle SS that's never been raced? Sure. BW
