Seeing Rudy's hood flying through snow covered Colorado got me thinking about something. Grab a tape, and measure how far out from the center your hood blocks are. Those wooden things on top of your hood....

I have a 2A hood in the shed. Measuring from the middle of the center seam to the middle of the hood block holes:
Driver side 13"
Passenger side 10-3/16"
My 3A hood has them roughly spaced the same distance on each side at about 13" from center.
The 3A wipers mount on the bottom of the windshield so they don't interfere with evenly spaced blocks. I believe the original 3A blocks were taller than 2A blocks as additional clearance was required for the low mounted wipers.
Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

13" on the driver's side and 10 1/4"on the passenger side measured from the center seam to the center of the holes seems to be the correct holes on my hood, but...
I guess that messed with a previous owner's sense of symmetry. I have both mounted at 13" from center. The material is not wood either. I think mine are made out of rubber lugs cut from a tractor tire. Custom eh?

Same measurements as mine. Now be honest...how many noticed that before? Or....like myself, thought someone couldn't use a tape measure.

Haines, 2A blocks are offset for the windsheild wipers, not an Issue on a 3A, as the wipers are below the W/S, so they are even spaced. Lee

If someone had time, could you show a photo of how the 2A Blocks, interact with the windshield wiper frames?
