I was thinking the same thing Hawky was. You do look similar to your grandpa. There is something about a WW2 when you stand next to it. The word that comes to my mind is legendary. The US was on top of things during that time. I'm proud as heck for what we did. Today------------I wonder what the heck happened. We are sadly lacking. The greatest generation is just long gone. Anyway, enjoy your tribute Jeep to him! Oilly

I was sitting in the den in the basement, my Grandfathers spot he made, he looked at me over his glasses and said, "When I am gone, I hope whoever winds up with my things will take care of them". This I will never forget . I knew exactly what he meant! It is more than just a vehicle!!!! And the Greatest Generation is not gone! They live in us!!! I have done my best to teach my children the same values. It's going to be OK. God wins in the end, and we are his children, Yes I said that... Go tell The Libs!!! I have FAITH!!! This small forum, which is the best one by the way, is NO ACCIDENT ! You will see....

Jeff, Thank You! I had never seen that information before. I respect fully the work you do at the Charleston Military Museum. Your Axe is at Bo's house. Maybe we can get together for a photo op ! I am honored to have you and Bo so close here in town. I would say unfortunately we all have families and lives that keep us from our passion, but that would be wrong. Family comes first, we will have our time. Thanks again for posting this information, it means a lot to me.
