Here's a few pics of my modified MB-T. My great grandfather bought this trailer as war surplus back around the time he bought what is now my '51 3A brand new.
Since it was to be used around the farm, he apparently cut the solid tailgate out and replaced it with what appears to be a functional 2A tailgate. A bubba-mod, yes, but a fairly well done bubba mod. And besides, I'm sure the last thing on his mind when cutting into a "dime-a-dozen" war surplus trailer was future collector value. He installed a ball hitch, painted it gray and red to match the 3A, and that's how it spent a generation.
The floor has been patched at some point and it is a solid trailer but definitely needs an overhaul. I have given it a quick coat of rattle-can OD and put new tires on it but that's it.
