Exhaust manifolds

After monthes of promising the ever popular HG I would get a manifold ready for him, today it happened, and I will post photo's of it but I will also post photo's of a cracked one in the problem area so you folks can inspect your own.

The obvious cracks are the ones in the outer runners and I do not have an example of that but here is a photo of the heat riser area, I sandblasted the cracks to make them stand out well for the picture.





I am not the best photographer so study the pictures and you will clearly see the cracks, so in the true Haines Garage tradition I gave it a whack with the BFH and finished it off



If you look closely at the bottom of the crack, you will see there was only a little bit holding it as the crack is fresh there



here is a shot of the rest of the manifold, if You are purchasing a used one at a swap meet inspect this area VERY close, as it is hard to see the cracks on an assembled complete manifold.

Guess what arrived today at Haines Garage....That's right Mister! An original exaust manifold from none other than Sir Leemeister. IT SHOULD BE PERFECT FOR MY BUILD!. Even the heat riser intact.




Finally, an exaust manifold I can use...I have had 7, yes 7 that were cracked and bad.

Wish you would have posted an instructional thread on this before..... ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
