I know right! I was shocked myself. I am going to replace it with a cj2a I have and eBay it. Should bring at least 4 bills no problem.

Zooke, my guess is that it might be going in a Ford Script that I passed on long ago... Barn find my ass. This is the jeep I passed on several months ago. He wanted $3500 for it then. I told him no more than $1000. Let's see your Script. If memory serves me correct, it might have some rust through. Latest for sale ad

My bad....he wanted $2500 for it in Feb 2015. I think he wanted $500 more for the t84 and maybe $650 for an m38 engine. No engine, can't read the frame serial number and no data plates...not to mention the golf ball sized hole in the Script. If I ever get one, the script will be whole, not rusted through. Can't read the frame number.

Well it may be, just look at those robust towing eyes on the front bumper, look like OD gypsy earrings You should get an axe from HG also, looks kinda naked without the pioneer tools...... Also those wheels are cj2a solid discs, or regular civy wheels with the slots bondo'ed shut, also I see no scalups in the rear Axel.

Yep, that's the GPW I bought. And I never said it was a barn find. My statement was I opened my barn door and found this. I had it towed literally 3 miles to my new residence. The engines look ok and so does the T84. Looks are one thing, usable is a whole other. I think we can all agree on that. The script has a German Mauser Round that penetrated through the r. I have documented proof and first hand accounts and reports of it. I did take a pic, but it came out poor with the flash. When I go back up to Aiken, I will push it outside and take more pics. I will not be doing anything probably with this Jeep for a while. Who knows what the future brings. It was really cool how the whole thing went down.
Great to hear from you Bob. And yes you do need an axe for sure.

Shame you'll have to take back all those mean things you said about F-marked parts, Mr Willeeez. LOL, Now you'll be scurrying about seeking them out with the rest!

I am going to mod this bitch. I have a line on a Buick Dauntless Engine. I have always loved that motor. It will bolt right up to the T90 I have already. I was thinking about it and am going to make this into a off road driver. It will look like an GPW, but it will have the power and drive train to kick it! I might lift it as well. 1-2". So that I can put rims like the Captains. I would keep it OD Green however.

Your barn find, though, do 'er your way.

Only problem is the exhaust manifold, I would have to do something perhaps custom. I am just dreaming and screaming right now. I figure with all the F bolts on this GPW and the parts I could sell. It would perhaps put a dent in the "what I would like to do budget" the steering box and tube are F script as well. And I really have not yet begun to dig. I could get my money back, and then some, keep the frame, axles and tub. Side note...Tub gets done FIRST this time.
