I have the IGW Auto-Lite distributor with a vacuum advance. some of the L134 engines don't have a vacuum advance. Can anyone give me the pros and cons on this.

The truck/wagon/jeepster/dj/Kaiser Henry J all had va dist....... So pretty much an on road thing and would guess the VA would adjust to road conditions via throttle position, and most all of these rigs had gear ratios less steep than the Jeep universal. That being said, most who try to soup up the CJ seem to make the switch to VA dist. I have one ready to drop in but never have, as I like the simplicity of the mechanical advance.

So, the IGW dist. has to have a vac advance to work properly, right.
