Emme, my six year-old granddaughter spends time at a family friend’s local artist’s shop. Sometimes she paints. Do you think she love’s her “Pop”? She had to make a special “birthday” delivery to me today. Psst. She apologized for not spelling her name correctly. I don’t care what she calls herself. Mary is the name of her Great Grandmother on our side of the family.

I didn't bake a cake Scout but the sentiment Emme presented you with is priceless. I'd post that on my fridge anyday- prolly frame it.. Annie and mine six year old niece is a Juvenile leukemia girl just wants to cowgirl w/ aunt Annie. She sends us scrap paper drawings with horses and mules and HOPE..All are posted on the fridge. .

Here's my wife's reaction - she's an art teacher: "Wow! Did someone draw it for her to then paint? If not that is really great for a 6 year old. Well proportioned, texture, detail. Will she come to my school?" Will she do them on commission? ; )

Wow! That is fantastic!
Frame it? First run 1000 prints and get it up on etsy!
Really nice.

I just don’t care how it was done. But her artist mentor in this is very talented herself.

She was sorry to hear that she didn't live nearby to be able to have her in class .. I think it's great, too. I was serious about the commission! That would look groovy in 33070!

That is outstanding work. That belongs on a T-shirt. Hell, it belongs at Hobby Lobby imprinted on lots of stuff. No Willys. No Jeep. Just the painting as is. Wonder if there would be a copy-write issue? The "grill" may be too defined to try something like that.

Jeff. Relax. I took no umbrage and meant no disparagement. Just being a loving grandparent expressing that love. Who knows. LT may get her chance one of these days to impart her expertise upon a budding artist. You never know. Luv ya like a brutha, ya mutha!

Ok, I can't tell, is it a GPW or a MB. Definately WW2 though. Most likely re-painted by a fire dept.

If you look at it, it's quite accurate. 9 slot grill even. The attention to detail for a youngin is a sign to be blown away with later works. Wow. Oilly

Emme was embarrassed when I told her about all of the gushing going on here.
