I need to tighten the transfer case output yoke nut. I think it's suppose to be torqued to 120 ft lbs. Am I correct? What is the best way of securing the output shaft to allow torqueing the nut? Place the transfer case in low range four wheel drive? Engage the park brake? or both or neither? Thanks

Hold the yoke with a pipe wrench or like tool, the parking brake may work as well, I can't say I have officially torked one (bad me) usually just give em the 1/2" breaker bar, or the air gun.

Pipe wrench is your best bet. 120lbs will roll the Jeep even with it in gear and the hand brake set.
