My new project. A motor pool restoration of an MB/GPW. I do not want a factory restoration. I want a jeep restoration as may have been found in Europe or the U.S. from that period. Once they left the factory they were never the same. Here is the Jeep I purchased a few weeks ago. A 1945 MB. And i will be restoring the Mid 1942 GPW body and assorted GPW and MB parts I purchased prior to the 1945 in it's restoration. Some dents and such will be retained.

You're on the right track with the dents and keeping little imperfections. I'd love to see the faces of any TQP's as they look it over. Love the idea of keeping it "rough", and you're doing fantastic work!

Arty will live again. I've seen your ability and have no doubt about it. Very cool project. WW2 Jeeps are the first Jeeps. That makes them the icon. They are special in my mind. Well worth the effort. It seems the original concept and first production of most all marques which gains the interest of people are "The Ones To Have". I'll enjoy watching this. Oilly
