Yesterday, I separated my manifolds from the engine block in order to replace the gasket. I have never had any washers on those nuts, so I figure I will reassemble it correctly. I know there are two special washers that go in the areas where the intake and exhaust bolt on together. What about the other five locations? I didn't see anything in the manuals about it?
Also, I didn't see anything about torqueing it to a specific number. Any thoughts?
Everything is now cleaned and ready to assemble.

No washers except the two conical ones. Army Jeep Parts carries them if you need to buy any. Torque to 29-35lbs depending on what you read. No sealant on the new gasket. Bolt up and go!

Thank you, Ryan! That's what it looked like I read in the manual, but wanted to double check!
Haines, I don't want you brass nuts anywhere near my studs.

Army Jeep Parts is painfully slow with shipping. If you are in a pinch and need these washers in a hurry I do have a pair. I can mail them out to you ASAP but they are not freebies - you'd have to replenish the stock.

Ryan....that is super cool of you, buddy. I ordered the washers and a few manifold to exhaust header gaskets (spares!) yesterday online from Ron. I took a chance the 2 special guys were I needed. I figured if I needed anything else I'd go bubba Haines style and improv it. Ron shipped it USPS and the tracking says it will arrive Tuesday. I'm totally cool with that. But thank you so much. If I hadn't ordered it yet, I totally would take yours and ship the new ones to you.

I'm so embarrassed. I used brass nuts on my manifold studs today. In my defense, I bought them two years ago to swap out. ...that is long before Homo Gideon began his brass fetish.
