Some of you know, and some of you do not, that I have a HUGE Passion for the Axe and Shovel thing on the WW2 Jeeps. I have restored many an axe and shovel...Sent them all over the world...As Far as CHINA! I did a new batch of axes this past week. I Sandblast, and re-handle them. Prime, and paint the heads, and grind the modern handles to closely match the WW2 style. The Heads are WW2 originals! I do this as a sideline to fund my restoration. Re-handled and primed heads Satin Black, and Full OD Green Getting the linseed Oil

The fifth one in the top pic....Is that a verified WWII axe or just an axe that will fit the jeep? I thought the WWII pattern was always a square back?
Do you have a copy of the John Barton Book, Scott? State of the art tool collecting info, circa 2008.

Good eye mr Fbill...It will fit a Jeep, however it is a Plumb Victory Axe. John Barton is my hero, but I do not have that book....yet!

Thans, looks like it due to the wood grain, and the small bird's eye near the ax head. Back at work to day.
