Amazing Scott! The works. I do not deserve any credit. Someone else showed me this a long time ago. Just like the stuff, it works.

Wow, that looks like it works better than the stuff I thought worked .. RUSTEEZ BUMPER OINTMENT No, seriously I used to swear by Evaporust, likely 10X more expensive. I had great success using but I think I will keep a few jugs of this around instead.

I had to leave mine in for hours to get the rust to brush off. I I like it though - I have about 2 gallons now that I keep reusing. I just try running it through a paint skimmer before it goes back in the container.

I've been a fan of electrolysis for small parts rust removal ever since Bretto clued me in on the process. It costs virtually nothing to do and it's effective. Speaking of Bretto I need to ring 'im up on the Willys hotline, haven't heard from him in a month.

The electrolysis removes grease grime and some paint though. I did my T90 and D18 with it. Power washed it after and had no paint left on it. But removing the black oxide was a pita sometimes. I wonder if the works would take that off?
I've boiled some bearings in soapy water with a crock pot to loosen some of the sludge. Going to try diesel next time.
I soaked my head for 24 hours in the works. I smelled terrible in the garage the next day lol.

I used the electrolysis method on an MB gas tank once. Set it up, left it alone for the day and after rinsing it out, it was beautiful. It was like a fun science experiment.
