Well for season #3 of our jeepin groups big summer outting, most of us are planning to start out in Ouray Colorado area again as it was sooooo fantastic we want to redoe a few of the trauils again, such as black bear, immogene pass, and a couple we didnt get to this summer, Then after 3 or 4 days there we plan to travel the 3 hour trip over to the Infamous Moab area and do a few of those most amazing trails. Then those of us who want to, we plan to go back east to the Taylor park area and hit the main highlights of that area such as flag mountain etc. Some are just coming for a week, and some for the 2 week full meal deal. Anyone interested in joining this epic event should contact me thru PM or face book...Steven Lippoldt....to discuss. We plan to start in Ouray about the 30th of July and jeep the first 2 weeks of August. This is a Family oriented event where wives and kids are welcome, but it is one in which the trails we plan to do are not for the complete beginner driver or those faint hearted as far as high mountain trail running....Heights and cliffs, rocky bumpy trails and some challenging spots here and there along the way will be the norm. Good dependable machinery is needed, and people who really enjoy friendly fellowship both on the trails and afterwards at the campground. We do not go places that require tearing up our beloved jeeps, and while some lift and slightly bigger tires are a good idea, i dont think they will be needed on most of the trails...but ive never been to moab before...so?
Some of you might have seen Jpets article on this summers trip in the dispatcher magazine, and his posts on here regarding it. To say it was fantastic would be a understatement....next summers will be even bigger and better so mark your calenders as we would really love to have even more flatties in attendance.
