I think it's the real deal. I could imagine how you feel, though. I saw a guy selling originals on eBay a few weeks ago. They weren't jeeps, but instead they were a wide variety of obscure vehicles and equipment. I'm going to see if I can find him to compare.

Click on this eBay link. Check out some of this guy's lube charts. I'm pretty sure nobody is reproducing these bizarro things. eBay lube chartsI think the ring is like yours!

This is going to sound crazy, but smell it! You Sir Ryan of any of us should know that smell. Also the paper. Look for grains in it, Modern prints do not have the same composition. What does your heart tell you? I think you have the "Real Deal There" just my humble opinion!

Do forensic analysis. Lift the finger prints and see if the guy died during WW2 and there you have it-------proof. It's pretty neat. I doubt the previous owner could buy a repro and then store it with all the other ancient stuff. How long have they even made repros? My money is that it's a original. Fantastic find there Jeep smeller! The Goat Coachman is suffering pains of desire I think. Oil

Reminds me of my wife's first response when I got the trailer home: "Does it come with a mattress?"

Go get that MB so you'll have a proper place to put your lube chart!

HAHA, boys I needed that laugh. I'll leave you with this- you will notice that I am talking about an old, rusty stank trailer, and NOT an original lubrication order .... (ba dum, tssss)
