No worries. I got this off the G503 forum. From what I saw, it seems like a fairly solid assumption. There are a a couple of different types...early and late designs...according to them, with photographic evidence. I'm not going to put my name on the line, however. lol

I would post the picture for you, Scott...I had one with all of my WW2 variations lined up. I've since deleted it. I took it for that dumb SoB, cesspool cowpoke located deep in the Louisiana Purchase territory. I bet it is still in his inbox. Good luck getting the Wyatt Earp of the jeep trails to post it. It's like rocket science to him, you know. I got to say, Moosey, you do indeed bring out the deep laughter in me. You have the best sence of how to insult a friend that I've ever experienced. You know exactly how I feel when it comes to computer geek savy. I recently saw a ebay add that had two "early" GPW footmans loops that were very thinly casted in the area where they make the 90 and come down to the screw hole. So, there are many varaitions and I'm assuming each manufacturer had a different style. So two GPW types, Willys MB, M38 type, CJ types, and a slew of aftermarket types. Seven styles maybe? Maybe a guy should dig through his collection lying around and just see how many you have. I'll give it a try. I think Moosey is the Doc Holiday of Jeep Trails. A city boy dandy. He'll have to stay at the Oilleaker Dude Ranch and learn how to rope and ride-------Jeeps I guess. He'll have to learn to shoot so we can defend ourselves from Indian attack. Those Indians aren't too interested in my scalp since I'm a chrome dome. I outgrew my hair. Solar collector now. Oh, it hurts when I bash it on the front leaf springs while wrestling the bellcrank on a GPW. Maybe a padded cap is in order. See you all on the ranch. hi Ho Silver and Away! Oil
